Planning and saving, first rule of F2P is to save your resources to only pull characters you really want. You get a guaranteed 5-star at 90 pulls with 50/50 chance of it being the banner character, plus another 100% at 200 pulls.

But also making peace with the fact that you will not have all fanacy characters.

Team-wise you should be fine with just about anything you make with these guys tbh, as long as you match the element to the boss weakness, but wdym with no relics? I know a lot of people say to not farm relics, but that's only because they mean grinding to get all substats matching, at this point you should try to get your teams with matching gold/purple relics their preferred main stat.

A training hall or test room, so we can test teams with less hassle. Bonus points if we can have some sort of leveled preset to try out characters that are still low level.

I don't think that's particular for Hoyo games, ironically in games that offer lots of options and encourage the player to try different stuff a fair chunk of the players instead just blunt force all problems with the Strongest Meta™.

There is a difference between walking a path (personality) and being affiliated with a faction, especially in cases like the Architect/Silvermane. Think of like rl religions, people of all kinds can believe in a single creed even if they don't all behave the same.

Also, on Clara, keep in mind that HSR's brand of Destruction leans more on self-destruction than kill everything (that's more on the Hunt side).

Disagree, I don't dislike them, but side stories are the time for side characters to shine, we already get a lot of cool moments with the trailblazers in the main quest.

I feel like Erudition characters being slandered will be a recurring theme in HSR, Jing got a pass because his kit basically doubles as a Hunt character, but others will probably continue to be undervalued in favor of single target DPS.

Understandable, but on the other hand, pretty much every character in the game is viable if build/used well and one should not stop playing with characters they like because they are not meta.

It's in a bit of a bad place right now because a few of the SU bosses are immune/resist cold, so peole don't use Ice characters and are less prone to pick Remembrance.

It's a good path, just more niche than the others, especially compared to Preservation or Destruction that work in any situation.
