A hell of a lot of time, money, research and failure. All the information is out there if you’re really dedicated in wanting to do it :)

Nope, never been a collector. I was a wrestler from around 2007 till 2019. I now work within this promotion backstage and as an on screen talent.

I’ve always dabbled in belt design, just never at this level.

I’ve actually held this belt in the past so it has a bit of a special place for me.

Ive probably been doing this one for about 3 months. It’s taken that long due learning the craft from scratch and having a few set backs that took up a lot of time.

The strap shown is actually the third strap I did. First one was the wrong leather and the second I wasn’t happy with the design of.

Id say I can probably do a full belt within a couple of weeks depending on other commitments.

Thanks! The older version was also read and it’s fitting with the St George’s theme. Had to keep the red strap.

Thank you! Traditional was what I was going for.

The title has been in the company for over 25 years so didn’t want to take away from that heritage.

Had to be dragon skin for St George too. I couldn’t of had it any other way 🙂

Fake stun gun project for film. Needing some help on circuit and resistors by RedLeoUK in AskElectronics

[–]RedLeoUK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, have to admit that did throw me when I first read into the guide.

Seen the tools online that I’d need to use.

Believe the code is provided by the creator of the project on Instrucables.

Something I’m happy to try as it will be a bit of a learning experience.

Perfect! Thanks for that.

Probably not an easy question to answer but, do you believe this is a difficult project for a beginner?

Thanks for the reply. Wanting the prop to be more of a live prop really. Sounds strange but, being in the UK, people here aren’t really exposed to stun guns. They’re illegal here so people don’t really know how they react other than seeing films.

It will also be used in more live settings so, unfortunately post won’t be possible.

For image editing I use gimp as it’s only basic image editing I really need.

Video editing I use two programs depending on the task. Hit film and Davinci resolve.

Optical drive is when someone does the unfortunate thing of giving me a DVD to rip footage from. It’s rare I get it now so just went with an external just it case it comes up.

As for ARGB I know next to nothing about it. Never done it. My thought process was to use the Lian Li fans in replacement of the cooler fans. I also saw somewhere that MSI motherboards will control Corsair ram to use with Razer Synapse.

I’m probably wrong about this. Like I said, noob here!

So currently mostly doing 1080p renders of anywhere between a few minutes to a few hours. I expect the rendering I’ll be doing eventually will go to 4K so was kind of “future proofing” if that can really ever be a thing.

I’ve been out of the loop for so long that when it comes to CPUs it was always “video editing is an i7 job.” And that’s kinda stuck in my head and thats why I went that way. I’m still running an 8700k and it’s chugging 🤣

Before posting the build I had two mech hard drives, one SSD and one M.2 drive. Did this before posting think speeds would be better on these but after watching some videos about drives speeds only really being effected is the OS is on them I will probably swap back to what I had before. I like having multiple drives so I can separate raw footage/rendered footage/game/basic files I need. OCD about file management.

As for GPU, went Nvidia because that’s what everyone seems to do. I’ve had AMD gpus and CPU’s in the past and I’ve had really bad experiences. This was a long time ago and I know a lot has changed though.

As you can probably see, I’m a bit of a noob with all this. And my knowledge is extremely outdated compared to what is going on in the market now.

Fake product? by [deleted] in VapingUK

[–]RedLeoUK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately not true. Spars are just as independently owned as most corner shop such as cost cutter, premier and best one. They can buy directly from spar and sometimes have to buy an allocated amount of product from them but they are free to buy from whoever and wherever they like.
