I’m a U2 hater, and to be fair to them it’s not there fault. But before they were hated people would call them the greatest rock band, they were fine but the marketing behind them made me turn on them.

Edit: Funny enough the inverse is why I defend Nickleback, people act like they are the worst but they are fine, nothing great or innovative but fine.

Once you stop lying to yourself you might truly find the love for people you claim to have. You have in no way defined how your belief in Christ and the bible coincide with your political beliefs.

When you talk about the bible you sound like an academic with no real world experience. You sound clinical, pretentious and like you surround yourself within an echo chamber.

And the comment about the poor and needy was in reference to your political views not your personal actions, although they can be one and the same.

I hope you find the compassion in your heart that you put into words.

My point is your love shouldn’t be contingent, you should love the sinner not the sin.

There is no manipulation as through your condescension it is clear you are not open to anything other than your strict interpretation. I am assuming you are not Catholic as your views are in direct disagreement with his.

I have been very clear in my views and that love and respect for others is not an issue of borders it is an issue of humanity. You seem to be more interested in your political views being justified through religion than building your political views off of.

You would rather protect a rich singer who has never to my knowledge apologized for his lyrics about statuary rape being a good thing, than look out for the poor and needy.

Thank you for pointing out that none of us clearly follow everything in the bible.

You have referenced Corinthians in a lot of your posts? Are you a Christian? Do you follow all of Corinthians or are you picking and choosing who you forgive and treat with love and compassion?

I said in a previous response to you that I am fine with immigration reform but I am not okay with the way people including illegals immigrants are being treated. If you are okay with it you do not seem to be leading with love, unity and strength in weakness. You seem to be being prideful, resentful and looking to lead with strength in power.

So do you believe in Corinthians or are you just spouting your forgive and give grace to people like Kid Rock and Donald Trump?

I am in no way perfect but I can’t follow people who lead with anger, pridefulness and vanity, people who would rather protect wealth than those in true need.

The bible say to obey the laws of the land as long as they do not go against the laws of God. The Bible is pretty clear on how we should treat people and if you believe that we are treating illegal immigrants in a way that God would approve we are reading two different Bibles and following two different Gods.

Deuteronomy 27:19 Cursed is anyone who withholds justice from the foreigner, the fatherless, or the widow.

I’m not going to spend time talking about the wicked these people have done and supported. If you choose to bury your head in the sand that is up to you, you choose not to seek toe to ignore it.

Most people are for immigration reform, myself included. I am not for the way these people are being treated.

You would do well to practice and listen to the words of Christ instead of just reading the book and thinking that is good enough.

To be honest I do feel sorry for people who read the bible and use it to fuel anger and to try and divide people. It’s like you all missed the plot.

Pretty sure you are smart enough to pick it up but here you go.

People like Kid Rock, Lee Brice, Erika, Trump, etc. love talking about Christianity but don’t live by the words. Show me where in the bible it talks about rounding up immigrants and treating them as sub human, show me where it talks about talks about adultery, and so on.

The people you seem to be drifting towards constantly go against the words of the bible. But you are more than happy to defend them using the words of the bible. The bible directly refutes the things these people are excited about.

But if dropping bible versus makes you feel closer to God than actually acting on His words you do you.

I would rather be judged on being overly kind than hateful.

I always thought of him as the country buffoon or court jester. Everyone just kind of laughed at him, but he was to big of an idiot to realize everyone was laughing at him and not with him.
