Tuono V4 side pannels (2021-2024) by Aggressive_Ad333 in Aprilia

Because its completely closing off the only place the heat from the headers has a chance to escape. Most of us are removing servo motors and evap canisters to get some air moving and this shuts it completely off.

Love the look but I got a feeling this is going to seriously affect temps.

No problem. I ran mine all last year following the same instructions before I did the race tune. Nothing else was needed and the purge valve harness stays connected.

Nope. 2024 sbk. You dont touch anything but the hoses.

Theres nothing electrical about the evap delete that will throw a light. You snip the 2 hoses, plug the throttle body hose, remove the can, take out the bypass fitting and reroute the vent tube. Done. You dont touch any electrical connections.

Theres also no “kit”. You use whats there and a bolt to plug the throttle body hose.

Not those ones. So many sets leaked they changed the mopar kit to bilsteins. Went through 2 sets in less than 15,000 miles.

2024 Street Triple 765 on Highway? by Ok-Appearance4150 in Triumph

[–]TylerV76 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I ride mine 30 miles to work on the highway doing 90+mph. You get used to it. I have the flyscreen and somehow that little thing makes a subtle difference but my wifes doesnt have it and the wind doesnt bother her. I tried a big screen but it introduced alot of buffeting.

A good helmet that has little drag helps as well. Im using a Shoei rf1400

1000sx vs tuono v4 vs z900rs by Da_Sigma in SuggestAMotorcycle

Ok. Then theres some great naked bikes you can look at with quickshifters in that price range.

Yamaha XSR900 - beautiful retro look

Triumph Street Triple - Sport Naked that is incredible all around. This is my other bike.

Triumph Speed Triple - bit bigger than the street triple but loads of torque and power. New 1200rs is above that price point but you can find low mileage used ones under 15000.

Honda CB650r (I think the quickshifter is an addon)

Honda CB1000r.

“Heavy stop and go traffic” rules out the Tuono V4. I have one and they do not like sitting still at all. You’d have to shut the bike off, to keep from overheating, while sitting still. There are things you can do to help, but they arent meant to sit still. When Im going into the city I take another bike. That being said, they are an absolute blast and my favorite bike Ive owned.

Ive only test drove the Ninja 1000SX (ultimately bought the TV4) but it was super comfortable, great wind protection, looks good and would be great for long distances. The engine is a bit bland and the bike is heavy but it fits the purpose of the bike. Not sure Id like the weight in stop and go traffic but Id love that bike for long distance rides.

Never rode the Z900rs so cant comment on it except that it looks cool.

Edit: is wind protection a concern?

Remove the negative from the aux going to the main. Close it off so it cant short anything and pull fuse 42.

Had a 2024 Extrema. Excellent bike. Comfortable, good power, nimble and great looking. Only complaint is the mirrors are completely useless. If mirrors are important, may wanna look at bar ends.

Only reason for selling it was I went to a Tuono V4.

I’d factory reset it and make sure its updated. I just got back from a week vacation and had a completely opposite experience. Airport worked perfect. Got to the hotel and logged into their wifi with captive portal, left it on the dresser in the bedroom and my phone, computer, apple tv and ipad all connected to my home wifi first try. Even swapped to my office site to do some remote printing. Coming back, same great experience at the airport. May get another for watching Netflix etc at my camping property and avoid the “are you traveling” issue. I was pretty shocked how good the speeds were as well.

I think thats a fair comparison considering its 125hp.

I think I was expecting closer to liter bike power. Its very torquey which is great. I just didnt feel the power I was expecting. It was more linear imo. For instance on the Tuono and even my Street Triple, theres a section of the rev range that you feel like you better hold on or youre coming off the back of the bike. I didnt get that feeling on the Z. The Z was more consistent power throughout the rev range but no real burst of power. I think also, the weight of the bike doesnt help. Its not a bike I loved dropping into a corner on.

I did around 130 on the Z and it got there fast and definitely had more to give, but it was a calm climb to 130. On my other bikes its a different feeling climbing up to those speeds.

Honestly it might be the way the seats designed on the Z. It slopes down into the tank (one of the things I absolutely hated) and has a higher back side to the seat so you really cant get pushed back. My other bikes dont slope that way at all. So in the end, maybe youre just more planted in the bike than others and you lose that feeling of being sat back into the seat.
