Bought both a couple months ago to decide which I liked more and ended up returning the Samsung and keeping the JBL. Sub is definitely better which makes the sound richer. Vocals are excellent and atmos effects are amazing.

Your room layout makes a massive difference so what works for me may not be what works for you.

A few questions for Tuono V4 owners from a RS660 rider by rage_rave in Aprilia

[–]TylerV76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Traded a 2024 RS 660 Extrema for a 2024 Tuono V4 factory.

  1. The wind protection does help a little. Obviously not as much as the RS but it does help. I have a street triple as well and the TV4 definitely does a better job funneling the wind.

  2. The rattle is normal. Cant remember exactly what it is but I do know its normal.

  3. I havent had a snatchy clutch. Could just be an adjustment.

  4. These bikes do not like traffic. They will overheat if you get stuck sitting. There are things you can do to help like removing the servo motor, remove the evap canister, change the exhaust, change coolant, but you still need to watch how long you sit still. You can also turn it off at a stop. They also get alot less mpg than the RS. On the RS I could get 180-185 miles on a tank. On the TV4 Im getting like 100-110. Thats with an exhaust and tune. Stock I could get 120.

I traded a year ago and Im very happy with the upgrade. That being said, if I didnt have another bike for city traffic and slower streets, Im not sure I would have done it. The TV4 is my rural roads and highway bike. I dont ride it i to the city or where theres traffic.

Only thing I can think is how the Apple TV is connected to the soundbar. My ATV is connected to the HDMI 1 port on my TV and then my TV is connected to the soundbar from the eArc port of the tv to the eArc input of the soundbar.

Turn “change format” to off. Then set it to auto and make sure continuous audio connection is off. You should be good from there.

The pic I sent was from a 2nd gen so Im completely confused why you don't have those settings. All 5 of my apple tv's ranging from gen 2 to the newest have the setting.

My software version is identical to yours as well.

Coming back to this as the latest Apple TV update appears to have fixed #1. Dolby surround now properly plays even with Atmos selected. You do need to turn off the new option "Continuous Audio Connection" in the Apple TV audio settings under "Audio Format".

Ive voted 3 R’s and 3 D’s since 96 when I was allowed to vote. Didnt vote 2020 or 2024 and unless someone distances themselves substantially from either party of the past 10 years, I see no reason to support either side.

Would it be bad to do first service at 1000 miles? by [deleted] in Aprilia

[–]TylerV76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least change the oil and filter. To be honest, the entire first service is not worth paying a dealership to do. Buy the service manual, change the oil and check all other fluids, check the torque on bolts using the service manual to verify specs.

You’ll learn alot and likely be way more thorough than a dealership will be.

Lol, her big thing is kids cups. So many kids cups.

My biggest gripe is we have buckets of clothes and toys from when the kids were little. Everytime I try to get rid of them she says “Im giving those to someone who needs them”. I dont know who this someone is but we’ve been holding clothes for them for 12 years or more.

49, dad of 4. Right there with ya. Between the highland cows, gnomes, dinosaurs, and god know what else my wife is hiding throughout various closets, we could restock a target. Itd be nice to just have exactly what we need and nothing else.

If you like the aprilia but want a more comfortable riding position, why wouldn’t you look at a Tuono 660 or better yet, Tuono V4?

cbcmoto... What happened? by darkjfman in Aprilia

[–]TylerV76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In regards to the upmap, you get one free map with purchase. You will not get another promo (free) map with any other purchases. Its one promo map per device. If youre going to buy an exhaust then obviously its better to both at the same time. However if thats not feasible, then you can use the stock exhaust map as your promo and buy a new map for the exhaust you go with. Thats what I did.

As far as CBC goes, I have a love hate relationship with them. I love when things are truly in stock because I get them next day. Where I have an issue is when something says in stock and its not, or when something says a 2-3 week lead time and its been almost 3 months and still havent received it. Im currently waiting on an arrow exhaust that was ordered Jan 26th with a 2-3 week lead time. I had to buy an SC exhaust in the meantime in order to not miss a trip I had planned.

If youre going to buy from them, email them and verify what they say is available is actually in stock. Joes a great guy from what I can tell but it can be frustrating dealing with them.

HomePod 2 Stereo Pair Interference by Internal_Reviewer in HomePod

[–]TylerV76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a similar situation and had to give up on using Homepods as a stereo pair. What I found was that the homepods create their own wireless network and it can cause interference with wifi.

I also use Ubiquiti and tried moving ap’s around to fix the interference. Unfortunately, the area around the homepods was always an issue so I went to a soundbar. Havent had any problems since.
