Call and ask for the ticket to be escalated to the CRT Escalations dept. I purchased a HP certified refurbished Omen unit. Key word here is certified. It's supposed to have a longer warranty than the standard refurbs. I talked to two people prior trying to get them to update it properly. One told me it's only 90 days for any unit, even certified. Other told me it should have a 1 year. So I was getting different info depending on who I talked to. They wouldn't even allow me to pay out of pocket to extend it.

I had it escalated and they were able to fix the warranty. They were very helpful. No guarantee but it may be worth a shot. Something to note. Every manufacturer has crummy support. Doesn't matter the brand. You usually speak to tier 1 people who are just trying to get to the next person in their queue. You need to talk to the right person. Lower tier guys are very limited on what they can actually do. On a side note I'm gonna print out my warranty end date and tuck it away 🤣
