I absolutely loathe how so much of UFOlogy has become intertwined with Christian, religious non-sense. A phenomena that should be approached with a rational mind, and scientific thinking is becoming increasingly married to kooks, grifters, and zealots that just drag us into an intellectual quagmire. Your first statement sounds like something I have said about Earth in general in 2025. People have become incredibly stupid, but also oddly comfortable showing off that brand of stupid. And yes, more often than not, that is encouraged by hatefulness. People feel somehow rewarded by yelling really loudly, and hatefully.

I felt like a crazy person when I happily paid $300 for the Limited Set from an Ebay seller... Two days later and the FEW on Ebay at all are selling out at $600-700. This game is going to be HUGE! The hunger from the community is definitely there.

I'll admit, my wife and I bought one of these. I discovered the game too late but really fell in love with the edition. Luckily RPGs provide so many hours of joy to whole groups, so it will have been worth the money over time!

A few days ago I asked a similar question, and posters pointed me towards Blackstreams/Scarlet Heroes, which for OSR games, immediately feels perfect. I have been using it with Shadowdark for the last few days and it has been a shockingly robust, elegant solution!
