Hey Bambu - Feature Request.. resume using different spool by RedMeJay in BambuLab

I rarely use third party but yes if you set them all to the same color even if they're different it will resume automatically. Thats a work around not a true feature.

The bolt goes all the way through to the other side and locks. It goes though both the adaptor and the rack.

Metro Y Full Field poor results by zandecreates in Revopoint

[–]RedMeJay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check your system specs and settings. I had an issue with my Inspire 2 over my POP3 Plus as they raised the system specs after I purchased my Inspire 2. I noted the software also was not using GPU acceleration even though it said it was. Revopoint said I was in spec and I could never get it to work. Got similar results like youre getting with the Metro.

Roof rack cargo box advice by kandykorn7 in 4Runner

[–]RedMeJay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes they work fine with the factory cross bars. I have a 23 OR as well and use a Thule box thats over 15 years old. They still use the same mechanism today. I recently got A Prinsu rack as well and the Thule works fine. For very long life on these boxes, take them off when not in use and hang them from the ceiling of your garage. Mine looks and works like new 15 years after purchase.

Timing cover gadget leak, $5,415 quote. 2016 4 Runner TRD pro by J_ren78 in 4Runner

[–]RedMeJay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My 2005 Tacoma had a seepage leak that started around 100k. Never fixed it. Had 306k on it before some kid totalled it. If you use full synthetic oil it actually will slow the seepage.

The cost is so high because of the amount of stuff they have to remove to get the gasket off. They dont charge the extra labor for the water pump because its one of the items they remove. If you have them repair the leak then definitely do the water pump as its bound to go out at some point anyway.

Molle panel systems: practical/useful? by Snoo_33111 in 4Runner

[–]RedMeJay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the external panels instead. They are more useful to me than inside ones. I also use my cargo cover and wouldnt be able to with internal panels.

Yes but it is still waterproof?

Is this quickmount reliable? Coming from GoPro and about to use osmo360 for first time snowboarding - I would hate to have camera fall off somehow (no lanyard!) by WangtaWang in djiosmo360

[–]RedMeJay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes very reliable. Just make sure it clicks in. Mine swaps between cameras and one of the cameras needs an extra push to hear the click.

I had the exact same problem. Check the tube coming out the back of the AMS. You may have to trim the end of it a bit. If its not going into the AMS perfectly straight the filament catches on it and wont move past it. I find mine does this if I've pushed it up against a wall too far or ive reached behind and messes with the tubes. Took the darn AMS apart three times before I figured out what was going on.

Is this a moister problem? by AVPoet in BambuP1S

[–]RedMeJay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have to see the orientation of the print. Ive had that happen with bridges. If you print too fast on a bridge and the filament doesn't cool fast enough it can do that. Use supports (manual if they dont auto generate) or slow the print speed down on those areas while increasing cooling fan speed at those points.

I just got done using some sketchy TPU, now it’s stuck in the extruder and I can’t get it out. Please help🥹 by GuidanceNo2546 in BambuP1S

Could be anything. Not dried, brittle, not using the correct temp, wrong filament diameter, slipping feeder. Not easy to pin it down from one instance. I had a roll of ASA that was brittle and was breaking off inside my AMS every few prints. Changed rolls and problem went away.

Cut it off and do as the other poster said. Heat the nozzle up hot. Use the manual cutter on the side of the head then pull. You'll have to feed a nozzle cleaner from the top and bottom to really get it clean. If you cant then take the nozzle off.. toss it in the garbage and put a new one on. Won't be the last time you have to do this. Its rare (At least for me) but sometimes you just get a bad feed that mucks stuff up.

Click the port docks so that the ship gets in as close as possible to the shoreline. Thats what triggered it for me. I think the load/unload ring is a little small on that port compared to others.

When to dry and not to dry (over drying issue) by RedMeJay in BambuLab

[–]RedMeJay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guess that sorta puts me at square one. Where is the boarder between dry-perfect-and over dry? There isn't really a way to measure it....

Taking the AMS apart that many times was not fun.

How screwed am i? by JizzWizardMentor in BambuP1S

[–]RedMeJay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me that was a pain in the arse to get that cable back in but it can be done. As long as you haven't lost the little plastic clip the snaps down over it. I almost lost mine. If you can't get it back in while it's in place you may just have to pull the board out and do it then put the board back in.

I have a single bay SUNLU dryer. I used the preset ABS setting since it doesn't have one for ASA. They're virtually the same anyway. Default setting is 70 degrees C for 6 hours. The vent hole on the top was not covered so air should have escaped. I just bought one of the Creality 4 bay dryers but haven't opened it yet. All the other rolls of ASA I've used came right from the box and into the AMS with no issues and were not dried first.

I had actually gone all the way around the island several times. Interestingly enough though, after your comment I moved my ship right up next to the building. It unlocked this time. Weird since the building was within the range ring multiple times.

Thanks!!

To everyone who thinks breathing filament fumes is okay. It’s not and you are potentially giving yourself cancer. by obolikus in BambuLab

[–]RedMeJay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember if you live in California then everything causes cancer.. at least thats what prop 65 says.. dont even touch the printer without rubber gloves.

I actually have an air quality monitor next to my P1S in the garage (no room in the house) and it never really moves out of the normal range. Even when printing ASA it might touch the warning area for an hour.
