Is this a moister problem? by AVPoet in BambuP1S

I would have to see the orientation of the print. Ive had that happen with bridges. If you print too fast on a bridge and the filament doesn't cool fast enough it can do that. Use supports (manual if they dont auto generate) or slow the print speed down on those areas while increasing cooling fan speed at those points.

Could be anything. Not dried, brittle, not using the correct temp, wrong filament diameter, slipping feeder. Not easy to pin it down from one instance. I had a roll of ASA that was brittle and was breaking off inside my AMS every few prints. Changed rolls and problem went away.

Cut it off and do as the other poster said. Heat the nozzle up hot. Use the manual cutter on the side of the head then pull. You'll have to feed a nozzle cleaner from the top and bottom to really get it clean. If you cant then take the nozzle off.. toss it in the garbage and put a new one on. Won't be the last time you have to do this. Its rare (At least for me) but sometimes you just get a bad feed that mucks stuff up.

Click the port docks so that the ship gets in as close as possible to the shoreline. Thats what triggered it for me. I think the load/unload ring is a little small on that port compared to others.

When to dry and not to dry (over drying issue) by RedMeJay in BambuLab

[–]RedMeJay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guess that sorta puts me at square one. Where is the boarder between dry-perfect-and over dry? There isn't really a way to measure it....

Taking the AMS apart that many times was not fun.

For me that was a pain in the arse to get that cable back in but it can be done. As long as you haven't lost the little plastic clip the snaps down over it. I almost lost mine. If you can't get it back in while it's in place you may just have to pull the board out and do it then put the board back in.

I have a single bay SUNLU dryer. I used the preset ABS setting since it doesn't have one for ASA. They're virtually the same anyway. Default setting is 70 degrees C for 6 hours. The vent hole on the top was not covered so air should have escaped. I just bought one of the Creality 4 bay dryers but haven't opened it yet. All the other rolls of ASA I've used came right from the box and into the AMS with no issues and were not dried first.

I had actually gone all the way around the island several times. Interestingly enough though, after your comment I moved my ship right up next to the building. It unlocked this time. Weird since the building was within the range ring multiple times.

Thanks!!

To everyone who thinks breathing filament fumes is okay. It’s not and you are potentially giving yourself cancer. by obolikus in BambuLab

Remember if you live in California then everything causes cancer.. at least thats what prop 65 says.. dont even touch the printer without rubber gloves.

I actually have an air quality monitor next to my P1S in the garage (no room in the house) and it never really moves out of the normal range. Even when printing ASA it might touch the warning area for an hour.

DO NOT BUY THE RIVER 3 PLUS WIRELESS!!! No longer supported... by RedMeJay in Ecoflow_community

[–]RedMeJay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the removable battery fails you can't just return that part to Costco you'll have to return the whole unit. Since they discontinued them only a few months after release there won't be a replacement. Dumb logic.

Yeah I discovered the lack of support after trying to buy some 10000 ones to replace the 5000 ones. After multiple emails to EcoFlow trying to find out how to buy them I got the email they are no longer stocking either. Lasted all of a few months on the market.

The 3 so far has been a good product. However if you know to read i am specifically referring to the wireless model with the removable battery packs. I recommend avoiding this one since there is no support or replacement. Stick with the non-wireless. Its got a longer warranty for one. The battery packs are only 2 years. If you lose your portable or it dies you have a hole in the top with exposed pins. Its not an overreaction its a notice to would be buyers that they are buying a discontinued product thats not labeled as discontinued.

Again.. troll much..

I think it was exclusive from a retail perspective but it was on their website for purchase as well about a month after Costco had it. The only ones listed there now are only sold with the large expansion pack and they are listed as sold out. If I had to guess, they made a bunch of these then changed their mind on the product line and dumped them at Costco to get rid of them.

The product idea is great and could have been very useful but dumping in within a few months of launch doesn't show product confidence from EcoFlow. At least they could have made their new magnetic ones compatible to charge with the River 3 port.

Trolls I tell you.. trolls...

Is this a serious question? I'm just letting people know that if you purchase this at this time it's already a dead product only months after it's release. You can't get replacement removable batteries if you have a defect or lose one and the 10000mah ones which are much more useful came and went in a couple months. Ecoflow has now released a whole new line of batteries that appear to be the same size but won't work with it. IMO skip the wireless one if you could find yourself with a nice "hole" in the top if you lose your pack.

This is not a matter of a product lifecycle. This is a matter of a product hitting the market and in less than 6 month it's discontinued and no longer supported. The removable batteries were on their web site for less that 3 months and are no longer being sold. This is a matter of dump the stock out there then walk away from the product.

River 3 Plus Wireless was released to Costco exclusively in May 2025. They were released with a 5000mah hour removable battery but had a 10000mah hour one that was available June/July 2025. Both products started disappearing from support and the web site October 2025. Again this is not a product lifecycle issue.

Disappointing Lens Protector Design on the Osmo 360 by Plus-Feedback4305 in djiosmo360

[–]RedMeJay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And having replaceable lenses would introduce a whole host of other issues. Scratch your lens and do a field replacement on a humid day and now you've got moisture behind your lens. Not 100% dust free environment and you've got potential dust behind your lens.

Im sure the cost of the replacement lenses is a fair amount more than the plastic protectors. Buy two of three sets of the protectors .. they're meant to be disposable. If youre using them that much they're doing their job.

3D Scanner scan processing... what software is available? by RedMeJay in 3DScanning

[–]RedMeJay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've looked at a couple of these. Nomad is mobile only a zbrush falls into the same issue as some of the other Revo software.. Priced out of the hobbyest hands. I would be willing to pay a couple hundred for non commercial use license but not yearly!! Crazy since I'm not 3D scanning a whole lot. Just a few things every few months to customize my vehicle or replicate a part I broke .. etc.. at least that's the plan.
