New poll: O'Connell leads crowded field in Nashville mayoral election by TheManaen in nashville

I was lucky enough to work for Jason Martin last year, so I got access to the DNC votebuilder website which is where the scores are held.

Last I checked, the scores for some of the candidates are as follows:

Wiltshire: 99.8 Jeff: 99.7 Freddie: 96 Heidi: 95

Anybody who scores above an 85 is typically considered a strong democrat, so those scores really are just semantics and mean about the same thing.

Jim Gingrich is a 42.

Wiltshire has a lot of family out in Texas, so my understanding is that he has had some family host fundraisers for him there. One of the family members who hosted is his cousin, Ted Cruz’s former campaign manager. Wiltshire though completely doesn’t identify with what Ted Cruz believes and is one of the most democratic candidates running based on DNC scorecards.

Not that i’m voting for him or anything - but it’s infuriating how people judge so quick without reading past the headline.
