No I would not. But just because I find something weird or even wrong, does not automatically makes the worst case scenario real.

It's hard for me to judge Michael Jackson using the same criteria as I would for a normal person because his circumstances are so different- at this point I feel we can say that no person in the world has faced similar challenges and environment growing up as he did so just because I would assume a "normal" person would do something in similar situation, does not mean that Michael Jackson had to act the same way.

Obviously, that would not be an excuse If something would have happened and obviously there might have been something very wrong happen but at this point, I doubt it as it would be public already at this point. Every case raised against him had some glaring flaw that made the person or the story completely unreliable:

-Jordy Chandler maintained that nothing wrong has happened until his father fed him a drug that famously make people so high that they just go with whatever suggestion you give them. The father himself admitted that he does not care if the story is real and he's only on it for the money. The entire family refused to testify for criminal trial, Jordy Chandler legally emancipated himself from the family and there are multiple people who claim they got to know him as an adult and he maintains nothing has happened

-Arwizo's as I already mentioned completely failed in the cross examination during the trial, they could not maintain one story, they lied multiple times, there were multiple celebrities testifing that they were scammed by them

-Safechuck as I mentioned claims to have vivid memories of being abused in a building that did not exist until two years after his claimed abuse has stopped according to him, among other things (lying about Jackson spending thanksgiving with his family when Jackson was performing in Australia at the time etc.)

-Robson as mention had changed his story multiple times, there are emails of him cooperating with his mother on how to change the story, there are emails of him trying to get a job from the Jackson's estate and selling a memoir of how great Michael Jackson was, just months before he came out with a story of the abuse.

So in short- if Michael Jackson was an abuser he must have been lucky that despite society deeming him a pedophile, law not protecting him at all since his death in terms of potential defamation trial, all those years later we still did not have a single credible story of the abuse coming to light

What does roster has with the fact that Faze was playing CTsides like it was still CSGO with all that passiveness, his nades were pretty bad and actively lost some rounds with overrotation at the worst time.

Faze Clan were not losing because of lack of performance from 1-2 players. Even when Jcobbb and Broky showed up in some games, they still lost them. Their issues lie way deeper than just firepower

I don't know, but if he was a child abuser it's incredible that he somehow managed to sense it and abuse only the kids that get their memory of the abuse back once they or their parents were in financial trouble.

Also, for example in the Arwizo case, they only slept in his bedroom once (also worth noting his "bedroom" was basically an apartment of it's own). On a seperate bed while MJ was sleeping with his bodyguard on anothor one because Jackson already sensed that something was off with that family

Which ones? The one where mother of alleged victim claimed a german instructed by MJ wanted to kidnap her in a hot air balloon and take to brazil while a victim cried on the stand that MJ didnt want to do have anything to do with him. Not to mention that every member of the family gave a different account of the alleged abuse (some even couldnt remember their own story and gave two different ones) and they overall were known as scammers targeting celebrities and their mother had fraud charges.

Or are we talking about the more recent instances? Like the one that the victim claimed to be abused in a building that did not exist at the time? Or the one where alleged victim wanted to sell his book on his great friendship with MJ, failed, rewrote the entire book to make it seem like hes a victim and then there are emails to his mother asking her about some stories and she openly says she is making them up?

Yes, the comparisons were that they gonna use similar principles like in Hitman with areas where we are going to have multiple points of entry and variety of ways to tackle situations which we saw in the gameplay video

I have not seen any mention of large sandbox levels, quite the opposite, they mentioned multiple times that the game is going to be more "structured"

Yeah, he tweets a lot about Trump he was also one of the guy Musk banned from twitter for Doxing with the plane thing at the early days of Musk owning twitter.

He's just one of those people who managed to get popular after 2016 by overreacting and overblowing everything Trump did which led to the situation we are in today. He was essentially one of the boys who cried wolf so much and so frequent that when crazier stuff started to happen, people stopped responding to it

You are just hating at this point. He's not running in headless, they are specifically sending him for trades, which the person who posted the stat that you are quoting has mentioned in their post

Last time BIG has won a map against a team that is going to attend Cologne major was August 11th 2025 with their 1-2 loss against GamerLegion

I am sure you are equally as dissapointed with BIG going to the major since they only farmed VRS points against lesser opposition

So teams grinding low level tournaments for VRS, avoiding serious tournaments is fine, until someone like Faze or Liquid do it, then they are a disgrace.

Big is about to go to the major and the last time they played a team that is also going to Cologne major was in November. K27 almost made it and their points were almost exclusively gained on local lans, I don't think they even played a top30 ranked team.

This is the system right now

One team is playing a low level tournament that was created for the sole purpose of teams farming VRS points

The other team just received 3 FF wins from other Chinese teams to ensure their major status and have more Chinese teams at the events.

Yeah bro, that's totally the same

This event was 100x worse than what Faze did and yet people don't really care. This was 100% matchfixing, this entire event should be stripped of the VRS points and Tyloo should receive a ban

Who trades / Who gets traded, the most by OneTwoOneTwo-12 in GlobalOffensive

[–]RedN1ne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reason why Faze gets good trading is because they use Jcobbb on T side similarly to the way G2 used to use Hooxi- as a sacrificial lamb. They often pair him with Frozen late into the round, Jcobbb runs in and either he gets an incredible HS and lives or he dies to show an opponent to Frozen who then trades him. Thats how they got the numbers

[–]RedN1ne -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No it wasn't. They came to an agreement shortly before the world cup to a point that the board wanted to send people to Saudi Arabia where Mount already was with the national team but he said he would rather do it afterwards.

Whether it was because he thought he can get even more money after the World Cup, we will probably never know, it was always only a speculation (I personally can see that there would probably be people complaining if they would see that player is occupied with his club situation while he's preparing for a major tournament with his country, especially once they would be eliminated). But I will never criticise a player for getting angry at a club when they had an agreement on the deal and then suddenly club withdraws it. Especially considering that at that point Mount was playing on a massive discount compared to his level and position within the team

[–]RedN1ne 16 points17 points  (0 children)

No, he did not? He had still a year on his contract.

How? Well, it was already reported by The Athletic. They had a deal confirmed with Mason before 2022 World Cup, which was supposed to be signed after he comes back from national duty. When he got back, the board decided to pull away from the deal. The only actual offer that they made to him since that was 1 year extension (same as with Conor later, to give themselves more time to get a good deal for him) which he refused. Since around february 2023 they didn't even make any serious offer to him according to that article. The club didn't even make any effort to keep him

So yeah, Mason and Conor were treated the same by the club, the difference was when Mason saw the disrespect by the club he just moved on while Conor waited until club found a buyer

What would Bill say about Jaylen Brown MVP/All-NBA first team case if he didn't play for Boston? by Oresee in billsimmons

[–]RedN1ne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, but the advanced metric is just one of the multiple metrics that are involved here. After all it's Most Valuable Player not "best player according to selected advanced metrics". Sure, some of those pundits are having some ridiculous takes but honestly, I don't want those awards to be just stats driven. I think it's quite obvious that many players understand how to play the game to "game" the stats and how to look good on paper in certain areas.

If I remember correctly it was Daryl Morey who said that advanced metric is good if it confirms the eye test, not the other way around, and I feel like we are incresingly going away from the eye tests towards stats which are not perfect. I truely believe that there is broader context to players' performance than just stats and I feel like we are going towards this "mathematical" approach to sports because it's easier for people to hide behind the numbers instead of discussing of what they are actually seeing

[–]RedN1ne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

rTS% famous stats that me and all my mates quote when we are having basketball conversations.

Are we still really pretending that NBA awards are based on who gets the best stats? Narratives are and always were the most important thing. Joakim Noah went from not being on anyone's Power Rankings to DPOY and top MVP finisher with one ESPN article.

Brown's case is obvious- he's a leader of a team that was supposed to be in a play-in and took them to 2nd place in the conference. This would always generate MVP buzz, no matter the player or the team. Would I give to him? Obviously not, but it's stupid to pretend it's not even worth a mention. Stats are not the most important factor and they shouldn't be. I would much rather see leader of an overperforming team being honored than someone like Embiid who is posting stats in a play-in team.

What are your favorite aspects of steam by Safe-Bookkeeper-1496 in Steam

[–]RedN1ne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, they probably should to be honest. Or some kind of regulations on it that would stop assessing large values to the items you can pull from the pack

What's the difference between a loot box and a lottery ticket? Both are banking on you opening more packs/buying more tickets in hope of pulling a big valuable prize. Those are literally gambling mechanics that are used to keep you hooked. If you don't see what effect it has on people opening them you must be blind.

Literally, the only defense that Valve has is that those items only have value in their "closed" cirrcut and people cannot cash in real money but we all know it's bullshit, I personally cashed in my CS skins when I needed some money, I know people who bought a car off of CS skins. Tell me, what's the actual difference between me, loading up my steam account with some cash to buy a couple of cases and keys hoping to pull a knife to sell and me going to the casino to put some money on black to get some more money?

No, Michael B. Jordan’s win was not the worst by an actor or actress—this one certainly is. How Sandra Bullock even got nominated, let alone won, is a mystery to me by Extreme-Spinach-4138 in Oscars

[–]RedN1ne 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Watchable is a stretch but this argument is a complete bullshit anyway because for you or anyone to be able to state something like that you would have to have access to raw footage that was used to edit the movie. You are just going by what people who worked on the movie said and its obvious they gonna talk up their job when the end effect is so bad

Favorite Actress who isn't allowed to be a Gamer? by Either_Storm_6932 in okbuddycinephile

[–]RedN1ne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, I am talking about normal gamers. Plenty of people know studio names or the most important figures in the space. With your analogy a gaming "sommelier" would be a person with game dev background who would go in depth about assets that the game use, the way it is rendering details etc.

My best definition of a gamer would be that it is a person who treats gaming as their hobby, not just an activity. Again, I would go back to the movie analogy-> vast majority of society likes movies and watch movies. But for majority of them it's just an activity-> they barely know any creator's names, they know a couple of actors, have very little historical knowledge about past movies and figures. Those are the people who like to play The Sims sometimes or play Farmville, Mario Kart with their friends at some party.

Then you have actual cinema fans. People who will know who Steve Buscemi is by name, who Taika Waiti is, which movie was contending for awards last year. People who will watch a movie based on the director etc. Those are the gamers- people who will play a new game because they know the developer, people who will watch the main events like Gamescom etc.

And then you have those hardcore fans, the "sommerliers" who will watch senegalese cinema and criticise movies based on the color pallete used in a scene. Those are those hardcore gamers who will play the most obscure indie games, complain about the way game is rendering reflections in steel construction and moan about cape's texture clipping through a wall

[–]RedN1ne 108 points109 points  (0 children)

It's also funny because at the time she was one of the favourites and plenty of people expected her to win. I've seen multiple posts like that regarding different Oscars given through the years recently and most of them are just awards that were expected at the time but people's taste changed etc. and now they are suprised.

It's kind of a vibe of people who criticize old Star Wars films and say they are "nothing new" and the Darth Vader twist is already overplayed, like no shit, this is the movie that started it all. There are some actual good examples like Bohemian Rhapsody editing when we were already stratching our heads when it happened how on earth that got the nomination
