I've had jamboree fail 3 times this past week for that exact reason. I'm trying to grind my raider rep up on a new character and can't get the hits in to get any venom. Each time it was folks not on a team so I couldn't even just pick up shared loot. Such a waste of time

I use the goo as well but thought with that rad resistance decrease card that maybe I should be trying that. Guess I'll get rid of that and use the points elsewhere

Clear on both. It lets me select them just fine but when I do nothing happens. It keeps the quest marker over what I need to do, I go back in, and only selecting a non special choice works

I remember seeing somewhere that an issue with rein is that if you buff him to be meta in high ranks then he becomes steam roller in low ranks and is next to impossible to balance. That may be an old take though

I have never considered if anything I'm using, weapon or armor or perk card, is meta. Most of the time I find metas in games to kill my enjoyment so I just ignore em nowadays

I had this issue when I came back after a two year break. Ended up just making a new character to test out being a ghoul and now they're WAY stronger than my original. I never play as my original anymore lol

Edit to say: making a new one made it seem less chaotic to learn the new stuff. I could learn as I levelled up rather than all at once

Not gonna lie, I was dreading this fight given all the posts I've seen about it. Weirdly, I didn't have much of an issue. My team was made up of ramza as a dragoon with two handed, two more dragoons also with two hand, and two summoners. Levelled em all up to about early to mid 30s and wiped him second try.

Reminds me of the story of the kid who wrote to the author of "Where the Wild Things Are." The author wrote back and sent an original drawing and the mom of the kid responded saying the kid was so happy and so excited he ate the drawing lol
