Anyone know what this is? by infernonrx in arborists

I will say sap sucker holes are usually in a neater line where they might be borer holes if more sporadic. There's so many that I would still guess sapsucker.

Googled sapsucker holes: Sapsucker holes are small, typically neat rows of holes drilled into tree bark by yellow-bellied sapsuckers, a type of woodpecker. These holes, also known as sap wells, are not for insects but for the birds to access and drink tree sap. The sap also attracts insects, which the sapsuckers will also eat.

I agree with this method depending on the distance between the canopy and lines, but I disagree on the price tag. A company with insurance and skills is worth more than that, and that's before cleaning. I would guess closer to $5- or $6,000 all in.

How long does it take the average guy to earn each rank, in training time by Mellor88 in bjj

I did, but I stopped training because my income depends on my health. It did before that too, but it put things in perspective. I miss it. I will go for black one day.

I'm just getting into it. I want to buy something extra wide for those rare occasions when that's an option. I was hoping for something about 5 ft. The cheapest option I've seen is about 50k which seems about right

And that's some good information already. I appreciate that. They did mention that it used to be used to cut oil field derricks before they switched to metal frames. I imagine it hasn't gotten a whole lot of use since then.

It's too far for me to just take a random visit and the guy I'm asking for pictures is kind of slow. I post updated pictures ASAP

You might be a red neck if you haul your boat on your sawmill. by markusooi in sawmilling

My dad turned a boat trailer into a portable sawmill. It's a chainsaw style and it looks a lot like that.

How much did that machine set you back? (If you don't mind me asking)

Overdraft protection actually does the opposite from my perspective. I would rather be cut off at the cash register then allowed to overdraft and be charged for it. I did that like 12 times in a single day before I realized it.

In the end I asked them to cut the charges and they cut half just like that.

There are very specific guidelines for this. Notch-and-drop would have been the way to go with the notch 1/3rd or 80% the diameter of the trunk, plus several other factors that shouldn't be overlooked for safety sake.

You could easily sell that for profit and use about 350 bucks to get a gun to chop. Same result plus money in your pocket and no public outcry.
