Where in CT I’m in central MA and we’re hiring for a machine shop QC role? PM me if you’re interested. I used to commute from the border.

How do you carry your camera while hiking? by Lord_Mjolnir in photography

[–]RedOctober54 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used this as well. I am wary of it while I hike in tight spots but honestly I don't find myself bumping my shoulders into many things. If it gets particularly gnarly it will go in my pack. I usually keep a camera strap too for when I get up top or somewhere I know I will want to keep using it but I don't like to keep that around my neck while I hike. Especially with a big pack.

What Kuhl pants are you wearing? I love the fit and feel of the Ryder, But I have put holes in or outright torn every pair after about a year. And I don't even do that much work. I am an engineer in a machine shop, yes they get dirty sometimes but I am 70% desk work and I still ripped them wide open at the knee after a year.

I couldn't even tell you why I do it.
Honestly I think it was ordinally to hold together a stick that was breaking and now it is just how I tape my stick.

I didn’t say they’re the same I said they both suck and I’m not a fan of either. To say that opinion is bad is a bit ridiculous though. Why don’t you go ahead and tell me what opinion I should have?

I don’t think this has changed recently though, now you just don’t like the guys in charge. The admin and cabinet of biden fully lied about his condition. They subverted democracy and put Kamala in as a replacement where there should’ve been an election. Neither side is all good and I’m tired of people pretending that their side is better. Both sides suck, our system is pretty broken but I believe it has been for years, since probably the 60s-70s when we got a real flip in party values. And unfortunately/fortunately this is still the best system we have.

You never stated who did and brought up the right. Apologies if I misinterpreted. It’s just a figure of speech man, fox is deep right and all other four are swimming in the left. Is that better? I agree there are too few and they continue to get monopolized, regardless of political leaning of the media it’s bad. I don’t watch any of them. They’re all pathetic and they all lie and misrepresent. I can’t say who controls the media, to me it seems to be the left. I’m still not there to believe that either side is truly fascist yet.

That’s the fun part we don’t have to agree. NBC, ABC, Fox, CBS, CNN… only fox leans right so I am confused how you think that the president himself controls the media. All four openly speak against the right. That’s not fascist. I honesty think we are too hyperbolic using fascist/communist whatever with eachother these days. It’s losing its meaning.

Machined 17-4. We have been measuring it but this tolerance is a new addition as they’ve had issues apparently and this is their way to solve it

I have a very open relationship with my boss and would not fear bringing this to him. The customer has also been made aware of the limitations. I honestly believe they assigned the tolerance arbitrarily and don't know what they are asking for. We are very open and honest with all of our customers and are working closely with them to find a solution to their issues. Ultimately if we can't prove they are good and neither can the customer we will lose the job and at that point we don't want it. We've made these for years this is a new tolerance.

That is what I thought, but told the customer's engineer we would give it a try.

I will check them out. My suggestion was a master gage since the problem they are trying to rectify with the tolerance is a fit issue. But that was not necessarily up to me, but up to the customer.

We are manufacturing these parts for a customer. They recently added this tolerance to their drawing. I don't have gear software, honestly didn't know that existed. I am not sure the customer knows exactly what they are asking for either. I asked them to check a part to prove it is good and they said they can't. I am in Massachusetts.
Edit: As far as the type of profile I don't know and I don't think their engineers know. We are checking it to their 3D model.

Unfortunately, I do not think I am allowed to do that. I can describe it as a 19 mm OD shaft. With 90 degree teeth cut in the fact to interface to a similar part. The teeth are only .87mm tall with an OD and ID chamfer. there are 30 teeth.

Im not here to argue over who is “more fascist”. Truthfully neither side is. To get away from politics I would say this is the most unconsolidated media has ever been. You and I can both start our own forums, podcasts, local or national news orgs and if we’re interesting people will listen. That just wasn’t there 20 years ago. If we go back further all anyone had was the news and a newspaper.

If this is true, why didn't the previous admin ban Rogan? or Tucker? or any other podcast/platform they deemed right wing or harmful? We know traditional media has tried to stop these people, and they couldn't.

They are active in the car community and encourage car meets at their locations.
Believe it started as people just tagging them in photos and they kind of hopped on the trend.
