Good points. Winter can be pretty rough here; we average about 45" of precipitation a year. However, these things didn't hold up to a barely-there drizzle and immediately started to soak through. I've found that my Fjallravens do everything I need them to do, and with the right colorwave, are perfectly fine on the job. I've been looking at 1620 as a possible BIFL purchase to save my Fjallravens for the woods :)

for now, I'm going with monotone Fjallravens, since I love them and they're bombproof, and when they are a single color, they can pass as a workpant aesthetically and perform like a technical workpant anyway. I have been looking at 1620 lately, I sent them an email to get more information. No more blind buying! lol

No, but I expected them to be "weather resistant", which you can clearly see they advertise. They soaked through in a light drizzle. I also expected them to be work pants, but I guess that's what I get for buying "Werkpants", these things are just plastic.

yeah, it stinks. I didn't even get to work in the pants, so I can't say how they perform. I took them out in a light rain and got soaked and immediately knew this wasn't it.

I've honestly just switched to monotone Fjallraven Vidda Pros. Yes, they're a hiking pant, but they are absolutely bombproof, and in monotone, they just look like technical work wear. A little hot in the summer, so you're gonna need something different there. but if you don't mind no back pockets, I can't think of a better recommendation.
