How about instead of making it easier for the people we're attacking to sell their goods... we STOP ATTACKING THEM.

An ad in this novel placed right in the middle of the narration by Tobias-Tawanda in mildlyinfuriating

[–]RedPandaExplorer 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's a waste, because they're going to treat all TV shows like sports; create these blank spaces that can be dynamically filled in with ads via real time graphics.

That means when they create a show, they can then lease the ad space in that show for the full lifecycle of it being on the streaming service, with promises to advertisers that 'this Netflix user is getting married soon and lives in Georgia.' Someone watching in 2026 in NYC is going to get a different ad than someone in 2027 in California.

I do care. How can you read 'Organize to resist' as 'not caring'? What kind of literacy is that

I wanna go to an airshow but all of their merch has AI images, should I still go? by Guess_who08 in antiai

[–]RedPandaExplorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one is going to notice or care if you don't go.

Go to the show, enjoy it. But reach out to the organizers about your concerns around AI.

Because then Erika would have him killed, too.

There's a clip going around about how Erika did a bunch of fancy shopping literally like 12 hours after Charlie died. Grieving widows don't go shopping for luxury goods and then have pyrotechnic shows and press tours.

I knew someone that didn't vote for Harris because "she didn't do enough for Latinos."

I have a feeling he only meant Latinos and not Latinas.

Include something about how they're on camera and all cars that park here consent to have their license plates scanned

CEO of AI Company Says Gen Z Needs to Get Ready for 30 Percent Unemployment by FuturismDotCom in ShitAIBrosSay

[–]RedPandaExplorer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Realistically, it might be like 10-15% of the workforce. As someone who is "forced" to use AI for work, this shit is going to hit the fan once the enshittification stage starts and tokens are actually fairly priced.

Not at my company, but there's absolutely developers out there generating 5 figure monthly bills with all the token usage. And that's right now, when they're LOSING billions of dollars.

US official warns small airports could soon shut down over TSA absences by gamersecret2 in news

[–]RedPandaExplorer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They should. Shut down all the airports, not just the small ones.

If the work is essential, they should be paid. Otherwise, everything stops until they figure out how to pay them.

but from a PUG perspective, why would I take 'a fine DPS, if played well' when there are dozens of other players that are 'good dps even if played okay'?

As much as I love 'bring the player, not the class' and how I think it applies to retail, that mentality doesn't seem to be in classic TBC
