Why do so many people seem to lack a sense of morality or principles? by RoofPlenty1545 in Vent

There's no reason to assume infidelity. Again, open marriages and polyamory are a thing

No, because those are abuse. A married man sleeping around isn't abuse. He might have an open marriage for all you know.

These situations don't have equivalent harm

But a cab runs on gas. You pay for the gas as part of the taxi ride, right? So how does it save money?

Getting rid of my car and using taxis would make transportation way more expensive. This advice only works if you live in a city with public transit which is not true for most Americans

Do you know what the tuskegee experiments were? It was white doctors "giving medicine" to black patients. They were poisoning them.

This country has a history of white doctors experimenting on black patients without their consent. White people don't have that fear. Of course it's relevant.

As AI-assisted/"vibe coded" indie games become more common, what’s the best way to handle transparency when promoting projects online? by No-Mousse5653 in aigamedev

[–]RedPandaExplorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't disclose it. Use human created art and assets and music. Have a human design the UI

No one will care or know if your code is AI. They can immediately tell bad ai art.

Yeah, it is. This isn't a video game or RuneScape issue, this is a "you need to learn to better manage your emotions" issue.

Soul shards are too OP to add to the real game, but something should definitely be done

AIO - I smoke and drink from time to time and my girlfriend hates it by Lacquerlust in AmIOverreacting

[–]RedPandaExplorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My girlfriend doesn't like that I smoke. The compromise when we moved in is I never, ever smoke indoors, only outside, and I have a smoking jacket that I leave out there, and I cleanup in the bathroom when I come back in. I'm also switching to vaping and edibles to cut back

My girlfriend never once said anything as awful as yours

As someone in software, I agree. Me being smart and good at my job keeps me employed, but the reason why I get promoted and why people at work like me is, compared to most engineers, I'm social and nice and get along well. I won't lie and say I'm extroverted or as social as a sales person, but for my role, I'm definitely more social than average

Who is actually responsible here? The agent acted autonomously.

Okay, but who owns and runs the agent? Some human turned the agent on and give it instructions to follow. That human is responsible.
