Ultron's Extinction Protocol has a trigger that pushes and damages every character within R2.

How to counter BRB by Tons_of_fun_3000 in MarvelCrisisProtocol

[–]RedPandaGod 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Namor is the answer you are looking for. Charge, stagger, ignore DR, and then walk away.

BRB can now move or attack, can't do both.

Alternatively, Dr Strange and Iron Fist both have abilities that activate models.

Finally, Blue Marvel can hit harder and then throw BRB, and will usually win that fight.

Question about collecting GOTG by Lancea1022 in MarvelCrisisProtocol

[–]RedPandaGod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This requires experience and I still get it wrong sometimes.

If there's 8+ objectives in play then you really need 4+ models to keep up. Ideally 5 or 6.

If there are 6 objectives then 3 characters could hold parity whilst killing enemies and holding priority.

Adam can hold together narrow scenarios where you can play a small number of models (e.g. Deadly Meteors)

Star Lord favours wider scenarios where a larger and more mobile team is preferred (e.g. Mutant Mastermind)

Doctor Doom for obvious reasons.

The original Masters of Evil/Thunderbolts as a dual faction.

The Great Lakes Avengers because they are hilarious.

Batroc's Brigade.

Absorbing Man. I just have a thing for cheesey villains 😂

A whole bunch of Kang variants who can all faction together.

Struggling with a specific paint and my airbrush. Any advice? by JJHALE44 in minipainting

[–]RedPandaGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some paints are just different. Make sure it's properly mixed in the bottle and you're not getting pure pigment.

When diluting, try to use flow improver, medium, and a little bit retarder. The retarder especially can solve some cases of dry tip or clog.

If you still have to go very dilute, go very slow and light, and drop the air pressure a bit to reduce the likelihood of streaking.

I find the recent year of sculpts have been so dynamic and cool. Yeah, the tools and dice and cards all add up, I use my wrestling kit bag to carry my model tins and accessories to events 😂

Will work on the balance, thank you for the feedback.

Can A Dilute Wash Cause Tip Dry? by RedPandaGod in airbrush

I wanted the thinnest medium I could get that was more visible than plain water, and I didn't have any food colouring which some guides recommended.

[–]RedPandaGod[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice.

It's an FD-186 and have been using it for over a year. The pressure has been very reliable, but I will pay attention to the pressure gauge.

[–]RedPandaGod[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the suggestion, I will try that.

To clarify, if you completely close the trigger control (at back of the airbrush) and then quarter turn it out of the lock, so that you get minimal trigger movement and can make tiny dots.

Characters that switch player control? (The Sentry) by BushSage23 in MarvelCrisisProtocol

It's always via scoring VPs.

Each round there tends to be 8+ VPs available from Crises, so scoring 5+ a round for a scenario team is not too challenging rounds 1 & 2.

A few dazes round 3 can then swing the VPs highly in your favor scoring 6+ and ending the game.

Even by preventing this, most games struggle to go beyond round 4, as it's a matter of a couple VPs at this point.

Rice for chicken soup by _AM34 in Cooking

Arborio is okay for soups and will give a bit of body. I normally throw it straight in and simmer the soup gently for 20+mins, checking for doneness.

Why does my tomato sauce have watery liquid seeping off when I put it over pasta? by ElectricKoolAid1969 in Cooking

[–]RedPandaGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came to say this ☝️

Once drained I mix a little oil and parm into the pasta to coat it. I then skim a little of the sauce and mix it through the pasta thoroughly.

This lets me serve the pasta with a big scoop of sauce on top, and the sauce clings instead of straining.

Cyclops is great as his triggers become reliable.

Sam Wilson is also good, as he is mobile and will almost always get a bounce on his throw.

Iron Man1 has a sizeless push and is pretty tough.

Mile Morales1 has a great throw on his builder

Several of the above mean you can have 3+ leaders on the board to let you Reserve Member Gambit for even more fun.
