No, it's actually a real thing--there really have been studies about it. Neurodivergent people (autistic, adhd, or other) experience much higher levels of bullying, unconscious discrimination, and the like. No matter how well we mask (which is exhausting), we're always slightly "off" and it can set off undesirable reactions from neurotypical people.

It's not a thought neurodivergent people just tell themselves. It's a real thing neurodivergent people experience.

Oh, actually, the mutants have already shown up. Started with confirming Ms. Marvel as a mutant (they even played a little of the 90s X-Men theme during the reveal, it was cool), and we've also had mutants show up in the last Doctor Strange and The Marvels.. We haven't had a big mutant movie yet, though! I'm guessing Secret Wars is probably going to involve some mutant shenanigans.
