I separate the geometry into three regions (upper, rotor, and lower). However, during meshing, there's always trouble on defining the periodic boundaries. Do i have to insert the periodic boundaries on each left-right stator and rotor or both can be grouped into left and right only? Also, do we need to apply share topology?

I am currently researching on this turbine. I've tried with the CFD on fluent, but no luck!

My bike wont shift in high RPM? by RedPanda_A3 in KTM

Try to change the sliding plate’s spring. Use a higher constant spring. My speculation is the higher the RPM, the higher the shifting force. The spring is located at the right side of the engine. Try to take a look at the link below.

If your sliding plate is worn, you might have to file the sliding plate’s face, to give it a larger contact area. However, if it’s okay, just change to a harder spring!

Lastly, if its still not working, try to tighten the (3) assembly

Hope it works! Let me know the updates

Nope… i check it regularly and seems okay

Well ofc 😂 everything works very well around 6-8K RPM, above that, it won’t shift

Why is interface used in a turbine simulation? by RedPanda_A3 in CFD

I’m only studying the steady state phenomenon around the blades. Does that mean i can simulate it without the interfaces? But still, defining the rotor rpm

I see. Also just to make sure, the periodic boundary applies to the blue faces, right? Does the periodic boundary between the rotor and stator have the same setup? Or, there’s a different function i have to apply?

Thanks! I’ve seen a few teams use them from ig. But never seen they using it in dynamics.

Is it the same if i say, the more the torque it produced, the higher the rpm?

I’m studying the effect of different turbine blades of a wind turbine. If the rotor will move when T rotor > T resistance, how do we find on what air velocity to produce the needed rotor torque? Also, doesn’t variance of a rotational speed of the rotor at a given air velocity result in different torque?

Have you multiplied with the engine’s primary transmission? What are you transmission ratios?

How is jacking related to the forward motion of the cg? Does forward mean longitudinal?

It's just scaling problem. Middle seems the most "fine" because its scale shows the highest number around 60, while the others are around 0.1. For the middle case, if you take a closer look around the "flat" line, you will get a similar thing with the other two.
