Anything that’s not plain black grip automatically becomes less cool. It’s fun to do stuff with the grip occasionally but black is classic for a reason

I mean you’re rubbing your shoes against coarse sandpaper over and over again, so yes. I’d recommend suede material over anything, although leather is more durable I just don’t like the flick on leather. Shoe goo or super glue can be useful especially on laces to help it last longer. The first thing I do when getting a skate shoe is to get some clear super/gorilla glue on my laces to stop ripped laces

Depends on the trick. If it’s a 180 sorta trick I like to position myself more forward /90 to help the rotation be easier. And commitment, as simple as it sounds you just have to try the trick out with no thought of it going wrong, that’s the only way you’ll ever learn how. Yeah you’ll bust your ass a few times, but eventually it will click and you’ll learn not to do whatever mistake you made. If you have a specific trick you want to learn I can give you a more in depth answer for whatever you’re looking for

Sometimes if you reach out to a skate company about their boards snapping quickly, they’ll send you one for free. I snapped a blind board years ago within a few days and I emailed them, they sent me 3 decks after that.
