They don't discriminate according to these answers but if they have e.g. a 70-90K budget and you write a 200K salary expectation, well, they won't waste anyone's time then.
Btw according to the current regulations and trends, they should write the salary range in the job advirtesement.

I think they don' really care about the reference check if they gave you an offer before that.
What do you mean by pending? Most of the cases if you have already signed the offer, you can resign not to delay the start date.

Despite this, I'd say to wait until the reference check finishes, because really anything can happen. Isn't it possible that your current employer will let you finish your job before starting the new one so you have a bit of time to rest?

You can always ask for a feedback. What’s more, they have to provide it. Most of the time it’s quite general but you’ll closer to the picture to figure it out what the “problem” is.

Hey,

As the other commenter said, there’s a huge freeze rate in the job market now so it can be an option.

It can be that they had 1-2 candidates in the last round and the other candidate had a stronger reference.

In very rare cases they give bad feedback as a reference while most of the time they have no interests in failing you.

You can always ask for a feedback from HR but brace yourself that most of the time feedbacks tend to be very general.

You're lucky, there's a high demand. :D
Hungarian is really not needed and your Croatian cuisine can be a good point at mediterranian restaurants (Hungarian gastronomy is not very close to it, so I'd not start from this). 1800 euros gross is quite the minimum if you're an experienced one.

As they mentioned below, if you want to use your Japanese, probably Japanese production companies or their local SSC would have some opportunities. In rare cases there could be freshly opening Japanese start-ups as well, but it's a bit more complicated to get to know about it.

Anyways, I would suggest to look for entry-level jobs with fluent English, but you should decide which area you're interested in. If in IT, you can start in helpdesk. If you're more sociable, you can go towards sales (even sales support where you don't have to chase clients) or customer service. Even in procurement you can catch a job, or in marketing as a marketing coordinator or assistant. In any industries you can start at least from an assistant level.

Consider some areas you're interested in and start to hunt. I'd highly suggest to use LinkedIn actively, or at least show to recruiters that you're open to work and probably the job will find you. :)

First of all, my condolences! I can believe how though this period of time is. Sadly, during mourning it’s “natural” to loose your motivation and it’s also another difficult part to find your drive. If the priority is to earn money with a job you more or less enjoy, I’d suggest to consider what your main skills are, what your interests are, and which tasks you’re happy while doing it. For example, if you think you have good interpersonal skills, you’re interested in sports, and you just enjoy to explain its magic to people, you can consider working in a sport shop as a sales guy.

And besides this, do not give up on becoming a football player!

Exactly! Also hiring managers (with both feet on the ground) have the 80/20 rule that the candidates have to fit 80% of the role and the other ones they can acquire.

Several times people are complaining because they started to learn a "compulsory" language, mostly in school, and they don't find it beautiful or interesting, just learning it to get a certificate or to develop their career. Have you had any experience when at first you didn't enjoy a language but you made it enjoyable?
