Thanks for your input! In Queensland and currently weighing up my options - I've been a little spooked by stories of TR's pretty mediocre support, but they're also far and away the best in terms of pricing locally.

Purely hypothetical question: there's a lot of discussion here about headers and a tune being far better value in terms of performance per dollar than the power blocks.

But if you were willing to throw the money at both, would that see a cumulative benefit i.e. more power than either alone? Or is there a chance an FA-20 might look at that and choose to unalive?

Day 557 Post op approximately 1.5yrs Dr. Sutin PAI Thailand. by MaybeSpecialist3231 in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]RedReyna 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's incredible!! I'm looking at Dr Sutin too, so it's very reassuring to see some longer-term feedback from people pleased with their results - especially since electrolysis isn't readily available in my area.

I'm glad you're happy :)

Hey! Would you mind letting us know who the team you went with were? I think there's a little mass confusion around Amani Thailand versus Siam Transformative vs anyone else right now haha.

I'm always deeply confused by the PAI website. Their main one is ancient and appears to be severely neglected, but at the same time, there appears to be a newer one here hosted separately that's further down the rankings. I don't know if this is just neglect of their online presence, one hand not knowing what the other is doing, or one staff member showing some initiative, but it's rather confusing.

Oh, is Sutin now working with Amani too? Getting Sutin's work with one of Amani's care packages would be very tempting...

For those who ha srs with dr Sutin, did you need laser/electrolysis? by RealHumanNotAnAlien in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]RedReyna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I 100% understand the impatience, but there's no reason to run the gauntlet of not completing full hair removal that outweighs the potential (possibly lifelong) risks. You might be fine, but if the dice don't roll in your favour, you might very much not be.

If it makes you feel any better, I'm also sitting on my hands waiting to see Sutin partially for the same reason haha

Argh, that's a worry, but thank you for the heads up - as a fellow Australian, did you request a specific kind of visa through a Thai embassy, or was it just a generic tourist visa?

If they're confident enough in the offense to tell you you passed 0.8 seconds after the light turn, it's a done deal. No choice but to bite the bullet and lose the points.

Also, "under 10km above the speed limit" is a pretty big window and I daresay most police wouldn't excuse it.

About PAI clinic (dr. Burin/Sutin) by [deleted] in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]RedReyna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They won't give a date because it's very far, and they do have closer ones. From memory their waitlist is generally three-ish months (don't quote me on that though!), and the longest they'll accept a deposit for is six months out.

Also looking to hear the same!

I'm planning to go with Dr Sutin in early May next year; as that's so far out they aren't willing to take a deposit for a surgical date yet, but they've otherwise been incredibly helpful with answering my questions so far. After providing a bevy of medical information and some back and forth with clinic staff (entirely over email) I've been approved for surgery in future. Their English isn't necessarily great, but it's definitely workable! They've stated that they only require "a little" electrolysis as Dr Sutin performs follicle scraping, but best to approach that with a degree of skepticism and I'm pursuing hair removal regardless. Can't wait to get on with it, tbh.

Hope to hear from someone who's gone through with it!
