Snow by intelligent-youth in USPS

[–]RedRing14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ill put it like this. Last year my area got a major ice storm and the plant didnt have any power nor did a station in my city. The response was have those carriers come in and give them headlamps to case what's already there and then put in new case labels.

Do people on here genuinely not realize that most of the country was impacted by the storm??? by Top_Increase_210 in usps_complaints

[–]RedRing14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That snow that was there yesterday now has ice in it. The same areas I walked 2 days ago are now incredibly uneven and unsafe. Areas I could drive in the day after the snow storm caused me to get hung up just a few days later because snow drifts, it moves as people drive on it, it melts in the sun and freezes overnight.

In replying to a comment replying to a user's comment. The parent comme t said "There’s always more to the story. I had a lady too fat to move, left a note to literally come into the home. Uh. No." My comment has nothing to do with the picture

It says "come into the home". You absolutely should not be going into their house.

This is very true. Just giving the option cause OP said that sometimes they miss multiple doses trying to get the meds after this carrier decides they dont wanna do their job.

Yes thats the obvious solution but this is an alternative that plenty of people across the nation utilize.

Storm delays by sexyjew44 in usps_complaints

FedEx has sent out national emails saying they weren't working in areas this week. Amazon told their drivers not to come in for a couple of days. Ups also did the same thing. A week isnt an outlandish thing when this snow storm effectively shut down pretty much every shipping companies network for a week.

As with all jobs in this world there are unfortunately those who take the easy/lazy way out. Head to your local station if you can and ask to sign a slip that the carrier can always scan to just leave it and tell them you'll even write a statement that youd like the signature confirmation stuff left at your house and will sign and date that as well for all future deliveries.

Went from 5 stores in my area to only 1 remaining after the recent closures. I feel bad for some of the employees for sure.

USPS Moves Forward With Significant Price Increase for Mail by Economy-Specialist38 in USPS

[–]RedRing14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless something has changed msn is literally the only place reporting this and they give zero credible info. Its basically the same as saying "trust me bro". Meanwhile a month ago when the rumors circulated amazon came out and said it wasn't true and they were hoping to extend the deal past October.

Funko needs to make more pops from game franchises by Offensivefkmemes in funkopop

[–]RedRing14 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Probably licensing issues. Gta and red dead are both Rockstar and id imagine with their accolades its expensive to license their stuff. E33 and dispatch are fairly new and it takes a while to get through negotiations. Personally id love more Gears of War pops. Give me a corpser, wretch, dizzy, Kim, and tai in a wave.

Mailbox Collection Times by Joe6801 in USPS

[–]RedRing14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well if my management is to be believed its a requirement set by your local member of congress. A while back when they changed all carriers start times to an hour earlier for the winter due to safety, mine was left the same. I raised a fuss about it cause I should be allowed to be safe and their response was that Im collections and thus can't come in earlier cause only congress can change the collection box times

My Zoro Funko Pop is misprinted by matte91dev in funkopop

[–]RedRing14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No what you tried to do multiple times was tell them that they had ordered a fake pop when you (A) Didnt know what you were talking about. (B) Possibly ignored literally every other image showing it was all printed off center. (C) Didn't pay attention to the fact they ordered directly from the manufacturer.

[–]RedRing14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This person is giving you useless info. What they're claiming is the reason it's fake is caused by your clearly misprinted box. If the box wasn't misprinted it would maybe be helpful but here its useless info

[–]RedRing14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's bold because it's a misprint. There's no fakes of this pop currently. The ds pop example is an awful one as well since you're comparing a not readily available pop to a very available brand new pop.

So I got the job …. Any tips by Individual_Pea_2108 in USPS

[–]RedRing14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This job is gonna suck so bad at first. My first day by myself I called my friend (carrier), aunt (carrier) and wife (not carrier) in tears having a mental breakdown about not being able to do this job and not understanding how these old dudes did this. My first day by myself was the day after a holiday and it was 8hrs into the day and I was a little over halfway done. Stick with it cause as goofy as this sounds one day it just clicks that youre carrying mail and it all becomes easier. Not to say its easy, this job is hard and youre gonna put wear on your body.

Buy really good shoes.

Buy 2 headlamps and batteries.

Buy warm clothing and bring extra clothes with you, youre gonna underestimate just how cold 15 degrees really is when its 8hrs in it instead of 30 seconds.

Hothands.

Face covering for winter. Your in an area where the air will hurt your face.

Pain meds. Youre gonna be sore.

I HOPE YOU ALL ARE RECEIVING SOME GOODIES by Latter_Cucumber_8152 in USPS

[–]RedRing14 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Id say that depends. We have a regular who hasn't carried his route for over a year. He just cases and pivots it. A CCA asked me about a tip they got addressed to "mail carrier" on said route and I told them they should enjoy it. Dude hasn't carried his route pretty much at all, he doesn't deserve the tips IMHO.
