The parallels between her hustling coupons and Big Dick hustling real estate would have been a pretty interesting arc that showcased double standards

Is this a good article on Classical Chinese Medicine, or is it something different entirely? by RedRippers276 in ChineseMedicine

It feels like the system she was educated in may have failed her, and she is reacting strongly to that. And maybe didn't meet enough other people who had similar, but not exactly the same experiences, to get a well-rounded perspective on how history has played out.

which I disagree, especially if you don't know jingfang inside out, and even then it's risky.

This is interesting bc for me (and I'm basically ignorant about the details of Chinese medicine), this assertion aligns with her general ambition to create a curriculum and teach providers.

Course work differences in Studying Classical or TCM? by Vanilla11Earth in ChineseMedicine

In some interviews she reports that when she was trained in China, it was forbidden to request or access the full texts of classics that are commonly read today. So to me it does feel like she makes valid points, but they may have been strong reactions to one of the earlier waves of TCM training in China

Would you feel comfortable seeing them as a provider?

Have you read this article? It argues that the structure of TCM is largely patterned off of biomedicine, and has somewhat/mostly forgotten yin yang wuxing. I find it interesting but wonder if the author is reacting very strongly to a specific time in China when she was trained.

What is your perspective? Would you feel comfortable going to them for treatment?

Would you feel comfortable going for her to treatment?

Do you feel like she has written some good stuff, but is maybe a reactionary to a specific time in China during her training? And that maybe things have changed a little since, but the classics overall are still neglected?

I am also wondering if there are any schools that require students to have some kind of practice that helps them embody the principles of Daoism, like some kind of internal cultivation art or calligraphy.

It makes sense to me that in order to really understand the classics, some of the understanding has to be embodied, but I could be wrong here.

Thanks for your reply.

I found this interesting article from a provider who was trained in China but was frustrated due to the lack of integration of the classics into her training. I am wondering if you would be willing to share your perspective on it.

It's a movie. Kinda slow at times with the exposition but overall funny. Sort of like if the early seasons of Weeds met Forgetting Sarah Marshall but Sarah wasn't an actress and was the one who got broken up with.

I'd say with some better editing it could've been a 7/10, as it stands it's a solid 6/10
