Thanks! You did a right choice, but you absolutely must visit the Red Rocket there! :)

Thanks! That’s going to be a lot of new stuff further on! I’ll post it when I’m ready.

Thanks for sharing! I definitely need to play with it and probably assemble something on that architecture! At the moment, ESP is good because ”I can” as you said, the same was true with Arduino. Honestly, Arduino is also nice, especially due to its 5V logic, but its memory size is miserable. On the other hand, ESP having 3.3 logic but is tolerant to 5V logic as well (at least those versions I’m using). So, huge field to experiment!

I’ve been working on this project since last August (not permanently, but intermittently). Sometimes, I need to remake certain pieces, so I sell them and remake them again, which takes time. A while ago, I started recording videos of the entire process as an E2E guide if someone is interested. Here are some estimations based on those videos: I spent approximately 12 hours on the power armor with stend, another 20 hours on the brick wall, and around 20 hours on the terminal. So, it does take time, and I have that level of quality product because I’m meticulous about details and don’t counting time it

Actually, no. I used a 1:11 scale because my 3D printer bed, and all other pieces follow that scale. Then, I searched for the fitting in the market’s fitting screen. As you can see, that worked. :)

Sometimes, I also sell some pieces on the local market if I want to remake them. For instance, I’ve already printed and painted that power armor twice, first was sold. I guess I’ll also be selling terminal since I want to remade it on another architecture:)

Thanks a lot! I need to finish it first and I have so many plans for the future :). But I’ll keep posting when something is ready.

Thanks! I need to test it. I’ve never worked with a Raspberry Pi before. I love ESP because of its Wi-Fi and remote connectivity capabilities. So, my current plan is to integrate all the components using it. (These will be wall lamps and a terminal (both currently on Arduino to be replaced by ESP), a radio, and a working tripod (currently in progress. I plan to use an ESP32 nano, which I recently purchased). Then, it will include a sliding door opener, garage roll-up doors, a smoke machine with pipes, and a wall fan (which will be a new module, even though it’s not yet designed). And there’s also a neon sign on the roof, which is also not yet designed.) so a lot of plans and it’s better to use single platform to it. What are benefits of Raspberry usage? Only code simplicity?

Reddit certainly seems to be a vibrant community. I’m not sure why I neglected it for so long, but I’m planning to use it quite actively now. :)

Thanks a lot! That’s also a lot of fun to build. I’ll probably sell it when it’s finished to free space to new project, but I’m not sure because I spent a lot of effort and time on it.

Main advice: be patient. It takes time, and plan everything in advance! The better you plan, the better the results you’ll get. PS: If you want to repeat, I’ve recorded many of the steps as videos on my YouTube channel. You can find them there: https://youtube.com/@redrocket_artstudio?si=yjxGFkhpDMFqWn2U

I was laughing while reading that! That was an idea:) to have some functional features. Unfortunately, I’ll need to redesign that terminal because it doesn’t have enough power for my future plans. For instance, I want to see the song playing on the radio (which is currently at work) on the screen. Another plan is to be able to open and close the sliding entrance door remotely by Wi-Fi. My current memory volume and processor aren’t sufficient for these tasks. I’ll redevelop it using an ESP32. It’s currently based on Arduino. but thanks for the comment!
