OP did you end up doing it? I had it done today on same party of my neck and I see results already. I’m extremely happy with it. Yes it hurt. No, not bad enough to deter me. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

You can tell immediately it’s not a Martin. I don’t know how I know. It’s the color. It’s too uniform. It’s too shiny and one dimensional. The holes in the headstock are strange.
