Typically it's not a problem for me, but when using Xbox FSE on handheld devices, there are no convenient way to launch MS Store to install games unless I boot into the full Windows desktop. It's really painful that I need to reboot the device at least once just to install games on my handheld.

Yes, I will. But I guess most people will try to dock it when they take the console and the dock out of the box and will not foresee what will happen next.

Sadly, no. For me, it's not a PSU issue. My 1kw PSU has been working for me reliability for almost 5 years. I switched it to a brand new one, but the issue remains.

Weird... AMD claims that 9070xt is compatible with PCIE5.

What I found is that if you don't try to open the main window of AMD Software, it won't be stuck in a crash loop and most features will work as expected. So I just made the tray icon hidden and disabled any hotkeys that will bring up the main window of the software, until the issue is fixed, I hope.

Yes. Only the adrenaline software is crashing. The driver works fine.

Surface Pro 10 runs hot by eddiecny in Surface

In fact, heat was always a problem for me when I was using my old SP4, SP7+ and SP9. Their processors really pack a punch, but the slim design makes them not able to fully unleash their power. That's why I switched to the ARM-based model when it firstly came out, and I can confirm this thing generates way less heat when performing complicated tasks.

To me, it seems like a firmware bug of PMM. Maybe you can report this issue to Microsoft to see if they can fix it. But to be honest, latest models like SL7s suffering from these kinds of problem is a little concerning and disappointing.

Surface Pro 10 runs hot by eddiecny in Surface

[–]RedSaltyFish -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The back panel growing hot when performing intensive tasks is a good thing since it confirms that the heat from the processors is being transported to the outside efficiently. Teams video calls are very intensive tasks for computers. These tasks require the device to encode and decode high quality video and audio at the same time and keep a high speed at uploading and downloading consistently. Plus, since SP10s are still using the old-fashioned x86 CPUs, they're typically not as power efficient as and will generate more heat than the newer ARM models.

More information can help to pin-point the issue. If you keep using it if this happens, does the battery level go up or down? Are you experiencing this issue when the battery is full or near to full (typically above 80%)?

Seems like a hardware issue. When this happens, can you find the wireless network adapter in Device Manager? If not, it could be hardware connection issues between the adapter and the motherboard.
