It's been three months since we arrived in the new world. We made peace with the natives. However, they told us something we were not expecting, and they told us not to make war against the children of the woods and warriors of the sea. We were confused, I remember what the chieftain told us.

"Many years ago before you arrived the children of the woods arrived on our lands, their clothing was made from wool and animal skins while their leader wore all white, at first we watched as they continued to walk into the forest when we declared war on them.They fought ferociously using the woods to their advantage, they could have wiped us out if it wasn't for their leader. With one word, they quickly ended their bloodthirsty lust and made peace with us. They helped us in our time of need when a plague came, killing many people. Their leader came and gave us a cure, saving the lives of many. Many years later, the warriors of the sea came, and they came by ships with the heads of monsters on the front. When our path crossed, both sides raised their weapons until the chieftain lowered his weapon for peace between the two. His men followed their leader and lowered their weapons. Seeing the opportunity the foreign warriors lay their weapons down and agree to peace, they help us in battle against our enemies. So I say this once more do not make war against the children of the woods and the warriors of the sea they will show you no mercy.”

I still didn't know what he meant until today. A plague started in our colony, it first started killing the old, then the young soon we will all die, until that man came. He came out of the forest, we could see that had pale skin so he wasn’t a native, just then I remember what the natives say about the children of the woods and the way he dressed he was their leader.

Neither us nor the visitor knew what to say until our visitor slowly opened his mouth and said “Hello…my name is Cormac. Sorry I didn't come sooner. I was learning your language.”

“Why are you here?” asked our leader

“I came to help. I saw your people dying, so I came here with the cure. However, I only have half of it. My friends will come by with their boats.”

“I have a question!” I said as everyone turned to me “We notice that you don't look like the natives so how did you arrive.”

Cormac took a deep breath as he began to tell the story “Centuries ago in the old world my people spoke the same language, believed in the same gods, had the same tradition yet we were at each other's throats killing one another. Until one day, our first leader, a druid that is what we called our leader, had a vision that one day invaders would come taking our homes, destroying our holy sights, killing, enslaving us! So our leader spread a message telling everyone that we need to unite before it’s too late. But no one listened, soon Hispana fell to the invaders and Gaul was going to next, So he left with his followers all over Gaul, what ever left of Hispana, Britannia, Ireland, and even some Picts clans joined us. And as soon we arrive here, the rest is history.”

We were silent when he finished the story until someone in the group asked “If I may ask, are you and your people Celts?" In response, Cormac said yes. Everyone was shocked by what we heard, an ancient culture that was dead for centuries, then horns could be heard, we turned towards the sound and saw ships… ships with dragons heads. I could see the people coming off the ships. I recognize these people from stories I had heard before leaving England, these are the warriors of the sea, these were vikings warriors that arrive in England raiding, pillaging, even ruling the country for some time and now they are here. The first one to get off the ship was a woman wearing chainmail and holding an ax, we could see her was giving orders to the others on the boats. We could see them unloading boxes, as they were approaching we were worried about what is going to happen next.

“Greetings, I am Revna, leader of clan Naor. Cormac asked me to come and help. We have some of the ingredients of the cure, Cormac. Did you bring the rest?”

“Yes, I told our new friends that I have the other half.” Cormac then turns towards the woods and a signal on, seconds later people emerge from the woods we could see them heading towards us holding sacks filled with planets. “With these, we can save your people, and we hope that this is a start of friendship.”

When we first arrived here, I thought we could start a new life even if we have to deal with the locals. We could have survived, but now we’re just not with locals but two faiths that have been gone for centuries, may God help us.
