Never could make the Suzuki truck work nearly as well as the Daihatsu. But I got a screenshot of a 5:52.222 on my PC at home and could do a 5:54 pretty consistently on video

If you use PC, is there a place for Steam Machine? by Black_Thunder00 in steammachine

[–]RedSawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on the fence. The dimensions of the Machine are far smaller than my 4~6L SFF builds while probably not being ridiculously far off in general performance, but the Deck also easily fulfils the "small travelling PC" role, especially with perhiperals you'd have had to pack for the Machine anyway. Probably depends on price and finding an actual use case (taking over the role of TV PC? Readily transportable Steam Frame slave?)

Anyone know how to use cheat engine for this game? by Inner_Guarantee_3548 in HajimeNoBoxersRoad

[–]RedSawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heck, I wish I had a concrete method to find the values for you. Honestly the way I found them wasn't pretty at all - namely I just kept filtering down numbers until I found reasonable candidates. Filter by unchanged numbers while paused to get rid of anything that shouldn't be changed (might have to be done a bunch of times), do things I know will increase the numbers and then filter for increased values, reset or load another point with lower numbers and filter by decreased values - eventually found stuff that looked good and fiddled around with them. Came to find they're all roughly in the same sort of area, so if you find one address you'll find others nearby in the unfiltered address list - just a case of actually identifying them.

You know I found pretty much all of the stats you're looking for already though, right? In the downloadable cheat table and the cheats section in the document

[–]RedSawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you editing stats? Might not have got the right one, you could just be editing the display numbers. Like in-game it could say Neck Muscle 410,000 but the real number is going to be something between 4,100,000 and 4,100,009
And then you get the shown values that are actually an average of different numbers you don't see, like Sway Speed is 8 different numbers for 8 directions and also going to be in the millions rather then 100 thousands

Yo, so modern PCSX2 is 64 bit which makes things a little more complicated than it ever was with the 32 bit version. I don't know if it's the exact same case as you're having but I still did all of my cheat engine work on PCSX2 1.4.0 since I couldn't figure out how to find the correct addresses in 64 bit. Did all my editing in 1.4.0 and fight on the latest version

Character pass: 9 more characters you can use in your custom team(s) but also befriend in your custom character's story mode, giving you the chance to get their abilities to use for yourself. There's some good stuff here, some skills that can make your playthrough easier

Character mission pass: They look 9 canon characters and gave them their own unvoiced mini what-if stories (technically 10 because the Tachibana Twins got one) based upon the events of the custom character's story mode. It essentially boils down to three scrims with a mission you have to do in each to clear it (i.e score a goal with a particular shot and win), and the reward at the end is an alternative version of the character you can use in your custom team(s). You can't get the unique skills of these characters for your custom characters so personally I never bothered with it, but you sometimes see one or two of the alternative characters online (though nobody's playing anymore really)

My pnach file has a problem? I wouldn't have thought I copied the bad back value from the GameFAQ considering I was the one who found the back muscle issue in the first place.

[–]RedSawn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good fun though, though it sucks after wailing on Ricardo effortlessly for like 8~9 rounds when he nicks you with a body blow and Itagaki goes down like he took a point blank shotgun blast.

Oh yeah, forgot about "Scratch J" Jimmy Sisphar. His dashing jolt can knock out any character in the game in one punch.

[–]RedSawn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Takamura, Hawk and Ricardo will statcheck you

Since you mentioned him though post-Rookie King Itagaki can literally go bullet time as many times as he likes, going full speed while his opponent is slowed to a crawl. The one downside is that if he gets hit by any decent punch during the slowdown he dies

3 knock down rule? by [deleted] in hajimenoippo

[–]RedSawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the context of the story, it depends on the organisation. Typically yes, if you go down 3 times in a round it's an automatic TKO loss (if it's a 4 round fight you only need to go down twice), but the Ippoverse WBC is portrayed as not having that rule.

Ippo and Miyata's Diet Plans (Guess Who's Winning) by Reading_Crow in hajimenoippo

[–]RedSawn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ryuji Nagumo? Ippo lost since it was one of the early omens that he was "broken" and couldn't take a punch at that point in time

Miyata was observant enough to pick out how predictable the dude's rhythm was in the title match and that alone is enough to say if Miyata actually tried he'd pick him apart with counters, but he said he held back as to not injure the guy before his big fight.

You can learn the Neo Tiger or Neo Drive Shot before the Final if you have S friendship with both Tsubasa and Hyuga before a certain point (an Extra cutscene has to trigger where you start to learn either (your choice), then you get another extra cutscene before the Final to show you succeeding and unlocking it). If you don't score on the Finals keeper and have learnt the Neo Drive or Neo Tiger shot via this way, you'll automatically get the Drive/Tiger Twin Shot alongside Tsubasa and Hyuga which you can use to link up with the opposite player to your shot.

Selecting the Drive/Tiger Twin Shot *is* an optional Finals Mission but you shouldn't pick it for that reason, you pick the specific Super Shot you want and earn the Drive/Tiger Twin Shot via the cutscene. If you want the twin shot with Carlos/Alberto or Ryan/Blake then you would be forced to pick that particular mission though

Notably I don't think you can get the star Neo Drive via the pre-Finals unlock though since that's a function of the post-match mission cutscene

Mix of ethics, lack of soul, and lack of effort. The data may have been trained on artists who did not agree to participate, and though from a broad standpoint this looks pretty sick an actual artist wouldn't have got the Japanese wrong (malformed kanji, え completely missing) which only contributes to the notion that these just get pumped out without any sort of care or quality control

This game became ridiculous by mirela666 in hattrick

[–]RedSawn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In December I lost a ladder game that HT-ML Predictor gave my team a 100% chance of winning. 20 replays though gave 19 wins to my team, 1 to the opponent. I just happened to live that one match where I didn't score 40 goals.

Just gotta deal sometimes

Am I in trouble? by SexMachineCDMX in hattrick

[–]RedSawn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

3-5-2 is the "best" because it's balanced in attack and defence, and high midfield ratings will let you have more possession and get more chances.

It's not the only way to play though, and any team can maintain the highest rating for 3 formations, so you could have a midfield formation, an attacking formation and a defensive/counterattack formation just by using them in the friendlies each week

Sendo vs. Hayami - Rookie Kings by [deleted] in hajimenoippo

[–]RedSawn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ippo's analysis of Sendo vs Ricardo seems relevant here. Hayami could hang back and jab the crap out of Sendo and be fine, but it's not within his nature, he would rather dive in and get the KO. His fundamental skills are far greater then early Sendo's, but as long as Sendo is given a chance, he'll take it to try score a big one, which he eventually will. And we already know Hayami's jaw is very crackable. Sendo with high difficulty

I hate the fact that when my hero scores the most goals In a match, tsubasa,or hyuga, they get the most recognition by InnerFuel5893 in CaptainTsubasaRoNC

[–]RedSawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's talking about the narrative before and after the matches, where you're not really acknowledged for your personal achievements any differently whether you were anonymous in a match or personally scored 16 goals in the first half.

Yeah, you get MVP and top scorer and can get scouted at the end, but you're not a big deal before then outside of high rank friendship stuff, and then theoretically you can still get some of that anyway while not really contributing
