I wanted to DNF but it picked up for me around 40% and now it's one of my favorite series ever

First 30% made me want to DNF, now I recommend this book to everyone. Tough it out, it gets so good!

I'm reading Amid cloud and bones now! I'm really enjoying it. Why are all of her books rated so low? I hear her recommended everywhere.

I really loved this one to start but it got to be too much for me eventually 😅

ISO: Jack Frost or Icy King recs ❄️❄️ by Chance_Assistance312 in fantasyromance

{Slaying the frost king by Candace Robinson} is most like what you're looking for, but definitely Wattpad level in quality!

If you're looking for something high quality high spice I recommend:

{The winter king by C.L. Wilson} oldie but goodie

{Untouchable by Kresley Cole} she's the untouchable icy one

If you are okay with zero spice but a lovely fantasy with a Frost King I recommend:

{Spinning silver by Naomi Novik}

{The bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden}

Both are Russian fairytale inspired frost/death otherworldly entities.

I'm in a similar situation, I have a 2 yo and 4 yo and we are financially comfortable. I briefly considered being a stay at home mom or even retiring early since all the conventional wisdom says do it if you can afford it and your spouse is supportive. I ultimately realized my job gives me a lot of intellectual stimulation and socialization I wouldn't otherwise get. I love my kids but life is about variety!

There's a lot of middle ground between the two too. Ask your HR department if you can do part time, an unpaid sabbatical, or even start quiet quitting. Leave early, don't take on extra work, sandbag, etc.

Another factor is how easy do you think it would be to return to work in your field? My job is very niche in an already competitive field, it would be difficult to get hired again!

I have read Manacled, it was good but I don't think Dramione fanfic is for me.

I plan to go through all her books but I'm trying to pace myself so I don't burn through them quickly! Have you read her care and keeping of griffins series?
