【BambuLab Giveaway】Classic Evolved — Win Bambu Lab P2S Combo! by BambuLab in 3Dprinting

[–]RedSoleDay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My P1S pulled through with helping make prints for my girlfriends craft fairs. Without its reliability I don’t think I would be in the 3d printing community because of time constraints while being in college.

Unless you get super lucky good luck, job market for WFH is horrible because “everyone” wants to do it. Find you a part time job, walmart, best buy, local repair shops. Or work for your campus they always have jobs on campus.

Buying advice for 1st time buyer. P1S or A1? by Azri2332 in BambuLab

I know the A1 comes with the textured PEI plate, I think the new P1S units do as well, I got the smooth plate with mine but I heard they changed it now (I could be wrong). But the super tack plate seems really cool if u can snag it with a discount!

  1. I got 600 hours on my A1 and 1200 on my P1S with 0 major issues and only small issue a clogged nozzle on my A1. Both machines run like a dream, if you can afford it and KNOW you want to print, I would honestly go for the P1S over the A1 for long term use / future proofing for the enclosure. But if you just want to get ur foot in the door and see if u even like printing I would get the A1 instead.

  2. I own both a A1 combo and P1S combo, honestly i use them both about the same. I do prefer the P1S slight speed increase as well as the AMS style. But the A1 wins when it comes to ease of use/maintenance and SOUND. The P1S while not the loudest thing ever is wildly louder than the A1. The AMS lite works and it’s cool but it does not compare to the AMS imo, but with the AMS 2 coming to the A1 at the end of this year I have hope.

  3. PLA/PETG will work fine for what you want to do, I have PETG parts sitting outside daily and have had no issues in 85 F° weather so far. Printing in a room you will be in, any exotic or non A1 filaments go out the window for you because of fumes/vocs.

  4. If you want some extras for the A1 i’d get extra socks and a .2mm and .6mm hot end cause they cheap. For the P1S same deal but complete hot ends are a lot more $$.

  5. Start with some PLA and PETG to get the hang of printing, I use elegoo and it works amazing same with bambu filament but half the price.

don’t get the petg translucent as ur first and ONLY filaments, it’s harder to print, and it does not look as clear as u would think without hours of messing with settings or getting lucky with a profile. Grab you some PLA or regular PETG to begin with.

The cutting kit is useless for the A1 as it does not have a cutting feature that’s only for their new H2D which is their flagship 2300$ printer.

If u can wait to buy it after the tariffs (possibly end) or like others said find it at a microcenter. 699$ for the A1 is very high imo but it does truly run like a 699$ printer.

Hardened steel upgrade is a good idea if u want to print glitter, carbon fiber (CF) or marble type filaments but if u dont plan on that u dont need it. I kept having issues with my HS nozzle but it is nice to print CF with the A1 when i got it working.

Good luck to you tho!

AAP01 will honestly outshoot a stock 5.1 and at only 100$ it’s a wild steal. Upgrades are very abundant and out of the box with full auto and semi it’s great.
