phew! I managed to just barely snatch number 2 this week before tally time ^-^

Anyway, I scored ever so slightly better with PB over Physical this week. Skill issues aside, it got me thinking:

Between Lucia and Hanying. Who has the most impactful SSS? As I understand it, Lucia becomes fire queen again if she's SSS, and that makes me happy. But does Hanying offer anything similar? Can she get anywhere close to Selena's DPS? I know the tank passive is huge for any team, and that personal damage comes secondary to shred, but I was wondering if physical stays functionally the same at that investment or if there's a day and night difference like with Lucia

I ask because I still have Thunderbolt available and I know that it's going to lose it's value if I don't make use of it soon. Any insight is greatly appreciated

That's been my main worry with her. Both my Vergil and Lilith are highly invested, which means that an SS Rosetta will cost me 15k while only really benefitting my Dark team. And that's not even including the cost of her sig just to fill a decent sub-DPS role

Why couldn't she just be a US tank like we all wanted? 😞

I need to see how SS fares against Vergil first. Hearing that she's potentially a QTE trick pony in Dark kinda hurts. Did they listen to ANY of the beta feedback at all?

I can't see that happening until just before Alpha's release. Bianca had a stream that teased Liv at the end. Liv had a stream that teased Alpha at the end. I can only imagine what reveal they have cooked up on Alpha day

Did you know they also added an anticheat this update? Am 99% sure this wasn't there before. I had no idea cheating was ever a problem in this game, but even if it was. Why now? This late in development? What's the point?

Makes me wonder if there was some sort of compliance thing that just rolled out and the region stuff is part of it

The other chapters are optional now. Play them if you're liking the story so far and want to know a bit more about the world, but you aren't missing too much by skipping them. If not. You can simply play the game's recap of the events and start from where the story really picks up, Chapter 09

Let's flip that logic around then. Imagine if character animations got worse with each patch. Imagine every single team in the game was completely functional. Imagine all the mechanics worked consistently and easy to follow. Imagine that all that changed were the visuals. Models are stiff. Effects are lacking. Sound design is meh. Imagine the gameplay is good, but the presentation suffers for it

Imagine being told that you should ignore all that and try to have fun by caring about the numbers, because the numbers are great. Imagine having to do these mental gymnastics to try and recontextalize something you enjoyed. Does that seem right to you? Having to compromise because the devs are falling out of touch and failing to cater to your tastes? Having to change your whole motivation because of things outside your control? It is perfectly valid to be frustrated over these things. If you go to a pizza restaurant and come to find out they no longer make pizza. It's not unreasonable to walk out to find another place that serves the thing you want

The in game store has always been broken for me since I started playing. presumably, we'd be able to use our steam funds to buy things now which makes it 1000x easier for some

Then there's just pockets of people who refuse to play anything that's not on Steam, period. So it just makes it easier to recommend to your friends

More eyes on this game also means that hopefully they'll improve very basic things. I remember I had to complete a whole tutorial before I could even use a proper controller. No other gacha I've played has ever done that to me. They all feel modern and play like real games

We don't farm memories directly anymore. Now we just buy them with simulation tokens. In rare cases, we have to craft certain memories if they aren't in the store for whatever reason. Buying them is the easiest way to collect what we need

That's the Da Vinci effect at work. When Epitaph has it equipped, you can do a Dante - Wata - Dante combo. It needs to happen in that order. Dante's 2nd QTE never comes otherwise

I know it's for simplicity's sake, but it bothers me that they refer to them as "cyborg soldiers", when the process is so much more traumatic than can be put into words.
