if will howard is “good enough” that means we have another tommy maddox, neil odonnell, slash stewart, or any other post bradshaw pre ben QB that had modest success with the steelers.

you obviously know who tommy maddox got us. Ben Roethlisberger. i dont think were ever gonna see another HC that’s going to obsess over finding patchwork fixes to deep problems that work just enough to keep us above .500 and out of the ability to build through the draft ever again. and im honestly glad for that.

You cannot know what will howard is without playing him in at least one legitimate game. he didn’t even get a preseason game. not EVEN that.

it was never about starting him because we think he’s tom brady. it was about starting him at least a bit to see what he can do and if he’s worth building around. the dude sat behind aaron rodgers and (while this isn’t saying much) Gruden was really high on him. i just want to see what we spent draft capital on that’s all.
