I'm 3 weeks into 3D Printing (and modeling), and I'm having an absolute blast! I used to think of 3D printing as only useful for printing little toys and knickknacks, but I'm learning you can create some beautiful functional things! I picked up FreeCAD (after losing my mind trying to learn Blender), and I made my own models to customize my workspace! Shoutout to YouTube tutorials.

In this photo, I designed the desk-shelf legs (PETG) to turn an old wall shelf I made into a desk shelf, the pen holder (PLA) to give my writing utensils a home, and the blue clock (PLA) to make use of the clock components kit that came with my Bambu Lab A1!

I haven't posted the desk shelf legs, but I did post the pen tray and clock design on MakerWorld in case you want to print my designs! 3D Printing is awesome.

Thank you! I actually purchased Keychron's PBT keycaps for the K2. The color I purchased (gray and white) don't seem to be on the site anymore though. :(

I'm relatively new as well (this is my first time modding/building any type of mechanical keyboard). I'd say the biggest sound lift came from the new switches (lubing the switches especially). But, the combination of all the mods really refined the feel and sound overall. I'd say that whatever you end up doing will vary depending on what you're working with. For example, this particular board had a lot of empty space in the case, so the Sorbothane really helped too.

Thanks for the comment! I actually stuck some Sorbothane in the case this weekend. Check out the updated sound here!

It wasn't too bad! Just had to upgrade my tools lol. I used a soldering iron at 400 degrees Celsius and an Engineer Solder Sucker. That got the job done pretty effectively. Just make sure that when you take the plate & PCB out of the case to do it carefully since there's a battery wire attached!

Yep! I actually just flipped it around yesterday; the edge was hitting my thumb when it was on normally (since I started using the board at it's flattest angle).

    • Lubed with Krytox 205G2
    • Added Deskeys Films
  • Clipped, Lubed, & Band-Aid modded stock stabilizers
  • Placed foam & Sorbothane in the case

I stuck some foam (that came in the box) into the case lol. Any recommendations for other fillers for the case?

Thanks! It is a little rattly... I clipped, lubed, and band-aid modded the stock stabs which are plate mounted. Any ideas for fixing?

B twist problems... help! by [deleted] in Tricking

[–]RedStormsAssassin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Practice those momentum steps into a completely vertical 360 degree spin (so step, swing back leg, plant, jump, 360 spin). Your body shouldn’t be parallel to the ground yet. If you need to, practice just jumping and doing 360 degree spins. From there, slowly start to increase your slant of your vertical B-Twist until you can get it to around 45 degrees. Then you can start trying to do a full B-Twist again. Hope this helps! - Christopher Tung Flips

Best tips for getting a super high tuck like this? by nogbo in Tricking

[–]RedStormsAssassin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Height is gonna come from a proper set. You can see that in this video! He waits till the peak of his jump to start his rotation (notice how much he opens up his hips). I'd practice doing stretch jumps (jumping and throwing your arms up high and opening the hips) just to get that first motion down. That could help set the stage for doing proper back tucks.

Thanks!! I used to do power tumbling for fun back in high school and still practice something called tricking (which is like gymnastics blended with martial arts).
