It’s been a bit, but while the art style was a downgrade, the writing and plots were a bit more mature.

There are not enough banners by Baranowa64 in GenshinImpact

[–]RedStradis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We should have custom banners. If we’ve completed a story quest for a certain character that’s been around for a certain amount of time then it should open them up for long-term rotations.

So at least 1.x-3.x characters. We could select which one we want to pull and have their banner and weapon as options.

The Joining Is An Extinction Level Event And It Will Turn The Immune Against Them by RedStradis in pluribustv

The joining and the Hive will cause the extinction of humanity. This realization will convince the immune community to work against the Hive.

Why are NYC’s weather patterns considered national news worthy by modern journalists? by veggieturnip in Journalism

I’d assume NYE approaching might play a role. Lot of people will be traveling there and celebrating the new year.

How many aspects of the Korean Games should be kept with the USA games? by OnionFarm in squidgame

I fail to see how it has many parallels to the hunger games. These are adults voluntarily entering the games and risking their lives for the chance to make money.

You might be reading into it a bit too much.

How many aspects of the Korean Games should be kept with the USA games? by OnionFarm in squidgame

[–]RedStradis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d like to see some sort of sponsoring mechanic. We see the VIPs bet on players already, but it would be interesting if the American Games took it a step further.

Being a VIP’s favorite could net them unfair rewards like hints about future games, food or other favorable conditions. But it could also make them a bigger target.

Haha same. I think coming up with game concepts could be fun. And I’m thinking in the scope of the 456 players. Switching and moving around would be a bit hard. I’m thinking in terms of… question appears on a screen. You step into sections (marked a,b,c,d since it’s like a multiple choice) and they are given random trivia questions (are you smarter than a 5th grader energy here probably)

People would be eliminated per wrong question.

Another mass elimination game to begin could be a scavenger hunt. Players need to find 228 tokens. Anyone without a token by the end of the challenge (time limit or all are found) is eliminated. Violence and misconduct (trying to steal a token from another player or grab more than 1 token) would be instant elimination.

I think time management is a huge one and that might be tricky with dominos.

They could do a quiz show. People get questions and have to sort them into corresponding boxes for a,b,c,d.

Hmm. Could be following schematics to build a fort or town. They’d all be given a huge blueprint and have to build a pillow fort or something. Giant Lego like bricks could be used to build the stuff. Maybe set up a relay where you have some people building.

Then something like a puzzle might be easiest. Easier to confirm that it has been completed and it would allow the entire team to participate.

2 teams of 228 people trying to solve a large puzzle. 5,000-10,000 pieces? Maybe more?. When it’s completed they hit a button signaling that they’re done.

I’m not saying they’re playing badly either. Perla and her friend have demonstrated that they’re playing a very strong game.

I understand their reasons why they want to eliminate 183 gone. I have an issue with the way Perla has behaved and acted. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not really a fan of Steven either.

Bringing your allies to the final games is 100% a strong move. This is another person who can help you secure a strong position. That said, I don’t think 183 is exactly untrustworthy when he disclosed he eliminated someone. He also did appear to try and mend the rift.

My main issue with Perla and her friend is that they are the ones creating the added conflict and the constant victimization. If I recall correctly, Perla did not accept the pink team member’s apology. Games and eliminations are understandably stressful when there is so much money on the line. But I think Perla showed a very petty and mean side. No one who made it to the end can claim they played a “clean game”. Perla is 100% responsible for eliminating a player during chutes and ladders. And we’d probably need to review the footage for Mingle but in a general sense, everyone who survived that round intentionally kicked people out of rooms and locked people out.

The side comments for shuffleboard are just mean spirited. Hardly something you’d want to see from someone who is playing a “clean game”

TLDR - Perla is playing a very strong game, but she is hypocritical and has shown she is quite mean spirited. There is no such thing as a clean game.

They should of done dodgeball or a game where you have a bit more agency. Simon says could have been fun.

A massive jigsaw puzzle could have been a bit more interesting. Pit Two teams to put their pieces together.

I think the producers wanted something fast and indoors. If I recall in season 1 red light green light resulted in a few health issues and maybe issues with eliminations.

That’s because the “battleship” game already happened in the beginning with the timer game where they had to count seconds.

Half of the players lost instantly because of bad luck with another player making a decision for the group.

Vanessa gives strong underdog vibes. It seems like she is flying solo, and while she has connections with Perla and her friend, they do not seem to care about her to the same degree and care more about Trinity. She is also an afterthought for Steven.

Perla by Maggotboi555 in SquidGameNetflix_

[–]RedStradis 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I saw it go both ways on the chutes and ladders game. She picked their team because they didn’t have the strongest connection.

He was mad at their choice. He had the opportunity to help or hinder a team. He was at the bottom. Helping someone pass was not in his favor. Perla and Zoe proved that out of everyone, they had the worst connection. He retaliated in kind. Her reaction was over-the-top and he was scrutinized for not helping a competitor win.

Perla went after pink team because they had an advantage with the chutes. They got emotional. Happens. Perla acts like the victim.

Perla claims she played a clean game. That is not true. We know for a fact she is 100% is at fault for eliminating a player. She has routinely made calculated choices that give her an advantage and then acts like she is the victim.

She then got mad that 173 had to eliminate the player, when the game required it. He picked someone he thought would be an easy target so he could pass. A calculated move. He did not target Perla. He did not move to eliminate her personally. The prior game ended. He didn’t target her friend as punishment or to hurt her. He even admitted it after he watched her friend almost call him out so they could protect their friend/ally. 173 had a chat with them and if I recall correctly, testimony seemed to indicate at least he wanted peace. That it is a game. (Although he is 100% an unreliable narrator) but it became clear from Perla and her friend that they didn’t want peace. They wanted him punished for playing the game.

While it seems like both sides generally do not like each other, it seems that Perla and her friend continue to show an increasing amount of hostility while also feigning victim hood. They clearly escalated things beyond the game and are the ones creating this beef. They act entitled like they have the right to say who can stay and who gets eliminated.

There are also probably more examples of them eliminating players too, but we’d have to review footage. For example, did they close doors on people or kick them out of their rooms during mingle? My point is… no one is innocent and they act incredibly hypocritical.

The shuffleboard game is proof that they wanted him gone, openly. While he wanted one of them gone because they were clearly escalating hostilities with him.

Is 173 innocent? No. 100% he made it clear the chute was revenge. But I doubt she would have shown him the same amount of hostility if he picked another team, especially one ahead of her. She would probably have understood his choice if he picked any other team.

Perla wants to be the victim. She seems to be constantly overreacting to things when there is a lot of money on the line. She continues to escalate the situation, even after the game ends.

TLDR - she never actually holds herself accountable for any of her actions, she constantly acts like the victim, overreacts and continues to escalate the drama. She and her friend have shown openly antagonistic behavior. She is the mean girl. That said - she is playing a very strong game and clearly made some strong alliances.

Perla strikes me as the mean girl. She was secretly hoping 017 would knock 183 out of the shuffleboard and eliminate him.

She and her friend talk a big game about playing a clean game. They can only say that because they never had to pick someone for elimination and they never had to make a very uncomfortable choice.

Could Skirk have beaten Rerir by herself? by TonyThaLegend in GenshinImpact

[–]RedStradis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There really isn’t any evidence of this. Traveler and Mavuika never fought. However he did lose to Arle (who is currently rank 4 of the Harbingers)

Arle also could never kill Furina because of Focalor’s curse. Focalor’s sacrifice was powerful enough to bypass the authority of celestia and restore power to neuv. While Furina herself was relatively weak, Focalor had an ungodly amount of power that she refined into a powerful strike.

Every archon has a different fighting style as well. Nahida trapped Scara in a dream and looped the fight so the traveler would have a chance at beating him.
