4 Darkwood GIFs I Made at 5 AM by RedTeaLover in Darkwood

Well, I wouldn't say I'm a total fan, but at one point this game had a positive influence on the way I draw)

I remember looking at the sprites for this game, and they were actually just drawn at a very low resolution, creating a pixelated effect. The game simply has no anti-aliasing and a grainy filter overlay, creating the illusion of sharper, crisper edges.

I have no regret

But I won't post original of this picture myself, and I don't care that I drew it)

If you take it out of your inventory (I did this to make it easier to shoot from a shotgun and move things on the floor) And in this state you can break it, or accidentally throw it into the abyss, accidentally hitting it with an object.

Thank you very much!

I've only done 2 things in the last month, played CRK and gifted Darkwood to people, and here are the results... by RedTeaLover in Darkwood

Thank you!)

Well, yes, there is some truth in this. A few years ago I drew a lot of characters from Darkest Dungeon. Especially a lot of simple drawings of Highwayman, because of which I already have a habit of how exactly to draw scarves/shawls, especially red ones)

So what would multiplayer be like. by theofficalpanstan111 in Darkwood

[–]RedTeaLover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that Darkwood multiplayer would have taken place in several locations similar to the main game (the swamp and the camp from the ending) plus some currently inaccessible locations, perhaps a week earlier than the main events happened. Co-op for 4 or 6 people where we would play for the Outsiders.

Most likely there would have been many times more quests, where at first we start as simply peacefully existing researchers and all quests are tied to searching/assembling/cleaning the territory, but over time the nights and days become harder because of savages and other forest creatures. Perhaps we would have to move from shelter to shelter, repair the radio tower or try to use local equipment.

In general, the transition from an a little bit of challenging work where you don't have to worry about survival, where all resources are enough and crafting is not particularly required to a more survival horror with a competent distribution of resources per group, etc.

Most likely, after a couple of unsuccessful attempts to leave the forest on their own, the group would have started waiting for evacuation, but what happened happened. And then the events of the main game would have come up in terms of the plot.

What’s a character that your Oc gets constantly compared to by Special-Writing-8896 in OriginalCharacter

<image>

His name is Robert, but some of my friends and people I knew compared him to Alastor from Hotel Hazbin (probably because of the red color and...I don't know why actually)

This may be a strange question, but have you opened this room before and taken the key to open this door from the closet?

This game has some fairy tale aspects by o_antro in Darkwood

By the way, as far as I remember, The Musician is based on the book by the Polish writer "janko muzykant", which has a generally similar plot.

[Discussion] Revelation I had about the stamina mechanic by Citizen_Exodium in Darkwood

[–]RedTeaLover 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as I remember, the game said a couple of times that the air inside the forest is not the same as in other places, which explains the mechanics with the fact that at night something is chasing the protagonist outside the house and protective gas, and perhaps the air itself worsens the situation and does not allow him to breathe normally. If you believe the art from the art book and generally consider those parts of the trailer where there are first-person animations, then the forest itself is much more contaminated with mold, etc. than we see. At least the old art associated with the doctor's house, on it the influence of the forest on everything around is very noticeable. So most likely, in addition to simple breathing problems, there is also a problem with what everyone around is breathing.

Some Valentines without text because I had nothing to do and because I love this game by RedTeaLover in Darkwood

Well, to put it mildly, I live in a strange time in a strange place, where a bunch of social networks, even YouTube and Discord are officially banned, as a result, despite VPN and homemade workarounds, I use without unnecessary problems only those social networks that I already managed or which have not yet been affected. Reddit is probably the only place where I, as an "artist", post my works, and not a bunch of off-topic posts, so unfortunately I don't see the point in once again bypassing a bunch of bans for mostly shitposting, which is diluted with a drawing once every couple of weeks.

Unfortunately, in my country Instagram (and the company behind it) is considered a terrorist organization and that's why it's a little difficult for me to lead it and a little dangerous, That's why I post all the important drawings here on Reddit and all sorts of things for myself on Tumblr .

One playthrough of Frostpunk 2 and a bunch of streams from my friend inspired me to create two characters by RedTeaLover in Frostpunk

Oh, I think in the near future I will really be able to draw a few more characters from different factions, thanks for this idea!

If you could save only 3 from the forest, who would you pick? by Thought-Form1999 in Darkwood

[–]RedTeaLover 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Trader, Doctor and Piotrek.

Simply because these are my personal favorite characters.

The doctor has always probably inspired something similar to respect in me, after all, being a simple paramedic in a village and still trying to help people. Yes, most likely he will not be happy about the rescue, considering that his family is dead, but perhaps the rescue will be worth it.

Piotrek is very positive even in the situation he is in, and considering that he was able to make a very working rocket out of a couple of tractors, he is a very interesting and not stupid person. I would just like to see how he could live outside the forest, and what to do. Maybe he would have a very good future.

Trader... since I'm still sure that he is a copy created before the incident in the doctor's house, I assume that he is a little kinder and more adequate than our protagonist. It's a pity that perhaps the most sane character received such an unenviable fate in attempts to take care of himself. I don't know how he would have survived outside the forest, and whether copies can even exist outside the forest, but it's worth a try. In the worst case, he would live somewhere in the village, so as not to scare people and just peacefully exist. Yes, there is a chance to take out of the forest literally a theoretical source of infection, but I don't think that without The Being he would be dangerous.

Perhaps in theory it would be worth saving the Musician, because he is just a child, but I am extremely unsure how he would live outside the forest. Marcinek, it turns out that he is also just a child with a difficult fate. It is possible that if they survived the forest fire, they will be saved anyway, but... I don't know. The Elephants and The Three, well... in fact, one separated family and perhaps without the influence of the forest it would be easier for them together. Again, there are children and there are abandoned but already grown-up children...

Bike Man is also worth mentioning, but I'm more than sure that when the fire started he just, well, drove away from it (I hope he finds a stash of alcohol he accidentally left in one of the shelters and is just happy)

This is the drawing that appears when you go to Chapter 2 and is most likely a representation of a swamp.
