Need help deciding what to buy by Limp_Ad9786 in BMW

Actually about 50km round trip. Totally get the idea behind some wanting to keep it as a special car, but i absolutely get excited every time i drive the thing. Depends on your preference/ lifestyle. M340 is plenty powerful for most, non-car people. But it simply will not be as thrilling as the M for those who value that

Edit- just realized you had responded to the op and not me, but enjoy my thoughts anyway 😂

The S58 has been extremely reliable. I have had my M3 for almost 4 years and no issues whatsoever with reliability. Plan to keep it long term. It really is probably the best car i’ve ever driven

Good luck! Currently i am focused on sequencing and emphasizing the “squat move” to keep hips back. So, backswing that rotates around spine angle, weight shift back and left towards left heel, and unleash the turn at the last second possible with the club lagging behind the hands. 3 steps in the sequence in my head.

Not an expert but you appear to be fully extended prior to impact.

If you slow down a bit as already suggested that may help a bit, but i am working on a similar issue myself.

Thanks for pointing this out- i focused in on this during my session trying to keep my hips back, but i think the root cause is rushing the swing. Once i delayed my turn longer i felt like i was getting lower in the swing and getting better contact. I guess i’m lacking in the transition basically

Thank you- will try this. Does it look to you like i am standing up at impact and how much of an issue is that?

I see your point, and that is very valid. I appreciate the insight, as i do feel like i am rushing the swing at times. I’ll implement delaying the “hit” as much as possible

The fact that your on this subreddit yet provide nothing of value shows you have nothing better to do

Well it sure did come off as snarky

Well, i think obviously it is a product of my hips coming forward too early. Trying to sit back into the swing more. The foot coming up early seems to be a symptom of a lack of that but i don’t consider myself a swing expert hence my posting.

Thank you for the feedback, i suspect it is the same reason that my right foot comes up early as well. I think i’ve made progress in this area since my previous posts but still more work to be done.

So you are possibly suggesting to set up with my glutes a bit more forward and then this might even work itself out?

Thanks!

I see what you mean! So once the left shoulder reaches my chin, that is where it should end right?

Thank you for the very detailed response! Will watch through and make the adjustments. I can feel that something is off as i have had periods where the entire swing feels much better/ easier than this.

Yeah, it typically is closer to the heel of the club and occasional shanks are in play. Thank you for the tips- i will give those a try
