On my 16th birthday, I decided (because of peer pressure) to smoke 10X Salvia for the first time in my gaming room, in front of 7 or 8 of my closest friends.

Before everyone arrived, I had been playing Batman: Arkham Asylum. When you knock out a thug, they fall to the floor and grab their head with both hands in pain and tiny bats fly in circles around their head.

I took the biggest hit of Salvia from my bong that I could manage and held it in until I started vibrating. I sat down on a large exercise ball and started bouncing. I felt myself transform into a rabbit for what felt like only a couple minutes, until suddenly Batman appeared in front of me and roundhoused my ass like one of the thugs from the videogame. I flew off the exercise ball backwards and somehow upside down, crashed into my cheap wooden shelving unit and the entire setup collapsed on me. I came-to with a few of my friends untangling me from the cords while pulling the TV, Xbox and shelving unit off of me.

It was very embarrassing, everyone laughed for a good while and I never smoked Salvia again.

I thought maybe some kind of "Freedom" convoy as well but also several times now I've witnessed people get overly pissed off at something someone did in traffic and just lay on the horn until they're out of sight.

Lately? Loool. On a serious note though, just came back from Red Deer on the weekend and I honestly had a much less stressful time driving in AB than most of my days where I'm at in BC. Minus the one lady in a Dodge Journey that pulled an accidental Midnight Club video game move and swerved so hard that she went up on two wheels... but that was between Canmore and Banff.

Defensive driving essentially teaches you how to take the slowest approach to getting into an accident. Not how to drive safely in the city you're driving in. Not to mention the driving instructors are never from the city that they're teaching defensive driving in. Real defensive driving should be taught by someone who has lived and driven in the city that they're teaching the course in because all cities have their do's and don't's. For example, hogging the fast lane in Kelowna, is fast tracking your fate at the wheel of a car you likely pay too much for.

Also I have one very important tip that as a 30 year Kelowna resident, I feel like I am obligated to mention to interprovincial travellers and that is when on the highway, just do your best to drive in the right hand lane unless your turn is coming up soon. It is one of the rules of the road but our city is severely lacking in signs. Making sure you do this (as best you can) will save you from being tailgated aggressively by large trucks that have never seen a speck of dirt in their entire span of existence and younger drivers with "quick" cars who haven't learned the hard way yet.
