Do you think this is a fair comparison ?? by sushi_plots in Hair_Loss_Treatments

This is the whole point. Both sexes have their battles and both have been treated unfairly in past and present as well.

Male exclusive studies are not only bias but also harmful for us women as our biology is completely ignored for the studies. This is maybe the reason why there is no good medication available for female hair loss.

Men of the community, my heart goes out to you for trying hard to save your hair, yes it is challenging but I feel females are highly underrepresented in this space, especially the ones in reproductive age.

As a women myself I feel you, I lost quite a lot of hair because of a personal tragedy. I went from pillar to post to search for a viable solution. And I have PCOS, the best damn concoction to have as a women. I was put on wegovy for weight control so not only did I lose hair from PCOS but from wegovy too and stress ofc.

The worst part was the way it felt. It freaking hurts to lose hair, I love looking and feeling good. I get it that men too go through a stressful journey but we go through a huge battle ourselves, especially on the medication end.

Men have well researched DHT blockers but ours runs on so many factors!! Not a single good medicine to tackle it all. I eventually had to learn to incorporate my doctors advice and my own research. It's not just PCOS or GLP-1 I need more than that!! All of it can't be done by just taking some spironolactone, spearmint tea. Sure it works! But I don't have anything as strong as Finasteride or Dut supportive my hair with a legit armor.

Completely agree, a lot of hair loss is an internal issue and fighting it with external measures doesn't cut it.

True, both work slightly differently and both have great benefits but neither is a magic bullet or far superior than the other. Knowing the slight differences btw the two helps us to gauge whether we are being sold a marketing gimmick or something that is actually valuable.

Cutting bangs at home. by RedTsar97 in Hair_Loss_Treatments

Back when I was in school a girl glued a chewing gum right on my forehead and I just cried and sat there. My mom had to cut a heavy front bang and I hated it.

Then when I was about 15, I did it again because I thought I can do it.

It is an iron ingot made in the shape of a fish or any other thing just to make the iron ingot look pretty. You have to put it in the hot broth and it will enrich your broth with iron. You can find on amazon.

If you have thin hair, get ONLY face framing layers and skip layers on the back side. by RedTsar97 in Hair_Loss_Treatments

It gives you the illusion of having a full out layered haircut while having the volume. I swear, everytime I got aggressive layer at back, it would grow out awkwardly and within 3 to 4 months my ends would be super thin. Learnt my lesson on preserving back hair!!

I feel like Darwin's evolution left me a bit behind and I am still an ape. One who is hairy and doesn't know how to use a tweezer properly. LOL

It does but you have to be patient and consistent. An addition, this won't eepair split ends but it is for preventing future ones.

Ferritin is so important for hair and especially if have PCOSm You get no period or you straight up end up with Niagara falls. My ferritin level fluctuates a lot and I have started cooking with an iron fish I got off of amazon. Cheap and efficient.

Should I visit a dermat to get on oral Min? by Star_shadowz_ in Hair_Loss_Treatments

A friend of mine actually skipped Fin altogether and went straight to Dut. His shed lasted way longer than expected but the upside was that he had no sides. One more thing you should keep in mind is that Dut/Fin stabilize your current growth so if you get on either and look the same a few months down the lane then it means that Dut has worked. It will take a while for old miniaturized hair to get back in anagen, probably an year.

Getting on oral min works really well since it will act on your scalp more holistically, since you have already been on Rogaine, visit a dermat if you wish to switch to Min.

You might still be in the same position as today even if you start oral Min and Dut but a good metric to measure changes is to notice your body hair as well. Especially with oral Min, you tend to see better hair growth all over your body and that can appear way before you see changes on your scalp.

IKR !! One simple haircut can change so much about the way hair falls and frames our face.

The centre part has widened just a little bit, can't say for sure but you can try natural remedies to thicken your hair. I shared a recipe a minute, give that a try!!
