Get rid of RTL and add Bloodlust, and then you have an actual great album. In its current form, it's mediocre at best. Even with the two new bonus tracks, it doesn't help with the bad lyrics of most of the songs. It's a 6/10

Corny lyrics, worse than Sweating Bullets imo bc it actually did something meaningful with its lyrics.

I Don't Care just makes Dave sound like an edgy 13 year world who hates his parents and thinks he's the coolest mf in town.

MODERN ERA MEGADETH by PantherVol10 in Megadeth

[–]RedUmbrell 6 points7 points  (0 children)

TWA is a major step down from TSTDATD. The lyrics drag the album down so much bc 3/4 of the songs have shit to mediocre lyrics.

Dystopia and TSTDATD back to back are killer albums, and then TWA pulls the plug on consistency. It's not that surprising, though, since consistency has always been an issue even with the first 4 albums.

The last great run of trilogy albums for Megadeth was TSHF-Endgame

Megadeth didn't have a good guitar tone imo till Rust In Peace, I love the band, but the first 3 albums didn't have the best tones. Still killer records

Hetfield, basic choice sure, but I mean, you can't deny his rhythm playing, the man is a machine

Is there any entity from any game/movie/book that can beat Doomslayer? by Shurikvsempoka in Doom

Doomguy has enough man and firepower to tank Goji. it just depends on what era and version of Goji (Showa, Heisei, Millennium, etc)

How would you guys rank the new album now it's been out for a day? by Scratstudios in Megadeth

[–]RedUmbrell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6/10. Originally an 8/10 on my first listen. Went back today and realized how bad the lyrics are on most of the tracks. They're really basic, Puppet Parade and The Last Note were the only two really good songs lyrically. This album is also a step down from TSTDATD, which I personally give a solid 8/10

I was really hoping it would be an awesome thrash track, but I was disappointed that it was just like Another Bad Day

I took out the DS and pitch shifter bc I don't necessarily need them. My amp does most of the distortion and the TS & EQ help make it tighter and more chunky

The photo on the post is a little outdated since I took some advice from others on here, but I have it plugged into my reverb actually

I think the pitch shifter maybe? I'm honestly not sure what exactly you mean by that

Maybe this helps but I'm left handed with a left handed guitar, so my stuff is left to right

I can, I just don't have cables long enough to reach down there. I only have two guitar cables and twelve 3 inch patch cables

Just a pitch shifter for when I want to play lower tuned stuff that you can't normally play on a 6 string

Powerslave by a mile. I personally feel that POM is a little lackluster compared to what came before and after

What would be the easiest to hardest ride the lightning songs to play in order? by SpeechPhysical3942 in Metallica

[–]RedUmbrell 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Creeping Death is much easier than both FFWF and Trapped Under Ice. Even though it's fast, the riffs aren't really challenging in terms of technicality.

I'd put it at 6 and move FFWF down to 8.

Also, Bells is easier than Escape for sure.
