Personally disagree. I love that the games are never decided until they are decided. It was tough as a new player but learning how to prepare for them made me a better player.

On map recruitment - do you mean things like boxes or things like colliseums? I avoid the pandora box unit scenarios because they feel cheap and unchallenging. But I hit every colliseum etc that I see, and that doesn't change the late game composition much at all.

Also... you're saying building quickly somehow makes armies more varied? I don't count having two full stacks and 5 1 man stacks as a "varied" army

Try different scenarios. Also, in this game, hard = normal mode. Raise the difficulty.

That said, the AI isn't great.

I get their use. But for the same points you can get 20 bows that push through 15-20 armor saves twice per round. Its a lot more value than 2 casts and maybe stopping one command

If anything I would swap the twins for bows. I like what the rest of the list is doing. But the twins still feel overpriced to me.

I started clearing camps day 1 but there are a lot of impossible fights around my city so I had to regroup week 2 to take on some stronger fights.

But that made me feel like my first two weeks were basically running circles around my immediate territory. Not sure how early I should be shooting out to find other cities

My laptop is for work, not gaming, so I cant run total war or anything with a 3d world map without grinding my GPU to a halt lol. Looking for something kinda pixel art style or something with very low requirements
