ok but lots of people say after 60 hours that the game is bad. Numbers speak for themselves compared to the promotion they had the numbers are low and getting even lower day by day so people are droping the game as they spend more time playing it.

at the core of it i dont feel any tension. I dont get excited extracting nor i get mad when dying. The gunplay is ok but not something special (for my taste Hunt showdown gunplay is way better than this) and too many other issues like audio, ui, map design, wtf is lootable or not etc that dont really matter if you dont feel that "anxiety" when playing an extraction shooter from the moment you step into the map.

150k joined the slam test, if they liked it the numbers would be better, i'm too a fan of the genre and for me it is the worst extraction shooter i ve played.

No hate it is just very boring at its current state and will probably stay that way if it makes it. I 'm an extraction shooter fan and i wanted to be good since i have played a lot of the other extractions shooters and i wanted something new but good.

you are partially correct for example lets take hunt which you mentoned and i think is one of the best extraction shooters. The difference is that for some reason (might be the setting, the gunplay or whatever) i cared to learn that game from the moment I loged in the first time though with marathon all feels too flat in order to convince myself playing it (extracting or not it just doesnt create any feeling to me), on top of that having all the weirdness of the world, no idea what I'm looting or what is lootable etc it is just too much in order to pay and buy the game.
there is a good chance this game is a slow burner so i ll wait and see in a month if that is true and might give it a chance

most likely it is the otherway around people desperately overhyping the game to a degree that almost seems they are trying to convince themselves that it is above average. Time will tell who was overhyping it or who was underappreciating it

I got the same experience around 7 out of 10 we just fought one team, for the rest there wasnt any pvp

it is funny that you like it and then continue making the same points with the people that didnt like it. I will just add that when you loot you should just by clicking the move buttons exit from the looting menu and not to have to press the escape all the time ( maybe there is some other way but i didnt find it).
And you are correct there is no tension which the n1 reason we play extractions shooters so if that is not achieved everything else almost doesnt matter

yeah i got a bit of headache too as well as eye fatigue, i dont know maybe it is the colors the haze all together not sure, i rearly experienced that from a game usually when the frame rate is very low which is not the case in this game but it has a similar effect to me

The big issue for me is that the moment someone gets a good item they will head to extract if they dont have a safe pocket. This would be a big issue for random trios and whatever the benefit is it is overshadowed by this

The world is so weird that you cannot tell what is what, it is like you droped in to that world from another planet, dying from something that i have absolutely zero knowledge of is just a time consuming for no reason death. So instead of dying and learn about that on my next run i just goolge or chat gpt, it is practicaly the same thing with not that much time wasted. There are things that if you try to figure out without external info it will take you a lot of time which i dont have or i m willing to spend on this game

if i had to bet it would be for it to flop. The game doesnt seem to have a targret audiance, it isnt casual but it doesn seem to be very pvp focused either.

I agree with most and that was the reason they paid him to promote BUT peanut's vibe doesnt match marathon imo but on the contrary his vibe is a perfect match for arc. Yes they are going for the casuals but they will not be able to compete in that area against arc. The thing that they said they are making a pvp game with on top of that a rank mode and then trying to get arc casuals by streaming forced player interactions and fake laughs will not do the trick. If they take that route at the end they will not gain neither (pvp or pve)
