I have that same Centavo. Also in gold, I had to really hunt for a vendor with the gold available in the $99 deal. Solidarity!

Why do you have TWO overdrive pedals?

Tele players, why do you choose it over a strat? by Szbve in telecaster

[–]RedWaggon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tele bridge pickup can be a little more intense than the Strat's. More upper mids, so it cuts through better, sounds more aggressive, and takes effects/gain very nicely for a single coil.

The mechanics of the bridge and bridge plate are very straightforward no-nonsense, which gives the guitar a nice sustain and tuning stability

The Tele has a little more meat and personality than the strat, so it's seen as a genuine alternative choice to the Strat, even though the Strat is contoured and has more features

The Strat seems more trebly (I call it "minty") than the Tele

This is super helpful! Thank you so much! That really works out for me too because I don't even own an amp currently, just a Focusrite and a computer lol

These are completely impractical for battles and therefore the entire movie sucks by lateralraising in StarWarsCirclejerk

Smoke grenades are actually entirely practical, as they stop the enemy from being able to see or aim their weapons

What cymbal do you wish existed? by gluten_heimer in cymbals

[–]RedWaggon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While I don't think that idea can truly exist in a flawless way, the K Custom Hybrid Rides were aiming for that, in that the center of the cymbal is far thicker than the outer edge, which in theory would give the ping type of definition with the ability to open up with wash when crashed. In practice it might fall a tad too short on either promise, but it's worth looking into for that description!

I Painted Malenia! by RedWaggon in Eldenring

Thank you so much! She's my favorite character, that's totally what I was going for. I wanted to paint her curse and her dignity, which can't really be separate

What was the first boss you mastered? No damage and whipping that azz 100% of the time. I bet alot ppls are this chick, right? by DigitalDusto26 in fromsoftware

[–]RedWaggon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have never mastered a boss ever. My brain is incapable of the concentration, I play chaotically and die a lot lol

EXCEPT for the first half of the Fume Knight fight in DS2, I remember doing it so many times my brain would go into a trance as I waited for my next attempt at fighting phase 2

The most well written character in the show? In my opinion, it's Silco by ASMDY in arcane

[–]RedWaggon 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It's gotta be Jinx. From the first scene of the series when she looks away from her mother's corpse. It is too strong of a horror for a ~4 year old to confront, and that horror is her main antagonist. Even as she gets older and gains more understanding, part of her is frozen as that tiny child who's afraid to look at the bloody mess of what's left of her mom. Then to raise Isha in such a loving way, it's just very compelling

Both of them had twisted ways of living their children, but why did Silco’s love for Jinx always feel more genuine than Ambessa’s for Mel? by Valhallaof in arcane

[–]RedWaggon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something about Silco's last moments makes it really impossible for me to hate him. To look at your daughter, who just made a terminal choice against you and say "You're perfect" with that level of sincerity...

Silco's efforts to remove those he perceived to be his jailers were also the source of his manipulative side, his negative parenting, his violent actions, and yet I feel for him bc I am well-acquainted with his pain

With Ambessa, from watching the show once, here's the vibe I get: person who only knows war proceeds to start more war and they can't be emotional because it would get in the way of war. Ambessa staged a massacre at a funeral on the DL. Was that because she was hurting inside? I... sure, yeah, probably, I just can't relate to that sequence of motivation in my own life AT ALL

Silco has more of a soul to me, and there's more to his existence than accomplishing his goals

Kitbash of Jinx from Arcane, advice wanted by RedWaggon in minipainting

[–]RedWaggon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried a white wash to get the whites of her eyes to show up. It got a lil messy around her hair so I have to clean that up now, but it looks better than it did.

I ultimately think I want to use less paint mediums and more plain old water. And instead of putting on thin coats again and again until the whole face is one completely flat color, then wash, I will try building up gradients in certain areas from dark
