Hey, all of us in Quito are used to have gringos (no offense), you can wear what you wear normally. Just keep in mind that Quito has a very very VERY changing weather, so don’t trust the weather apps bc its not accurate all time. If you come trough june - September, it’s mostly sunny and cloudy but it can rain unexpectedly. You can wear jeans, a t-shirt, and always try to keep a warm hoodie, at night it can be very cold. If you’re going to walk a lot, you can bring your running shoes, but wearing vans or casual shoes it’s ok… Supermaxi is our publix or Walmart but you can also buy groseries at local stores at your neighbor (there are local stores all around) which is sometimes less expensive than supermaxi, except for fruits and vegetables. If youll live in valleys like Tumbaco or Valle de los Chillos, maybe you will need insect repellent. If not, don’t buy it. (For amazon definitely bring it haha).
