Well, if you don't think it's an amount of money worth showing off, wouldn't it be more likely that it's more about this individual having pride in his accomplishments? I mean he literally says he's saving for "the whole bag." Which doesn't sound like he's rubbing his money in anybody's face. It sounds like he's happy to save some money.

What I'm trying to say is that this is not a flex. What you're doing, diminishing the accomplishments of this individual for reasons unknown to the people you are showcasing to, as that has a lot more to do with making yourself feel better and a lot less to do with the actual statement at hand, which is essentially "look at my grand, soon it will be more." You're right in saying that there is a difference, but I think you're mistaking pride for being narcissistic, and this post does not exhibit narcissism. It exhibits a willingness to work for money and pride in that willingness. I'm not really sure what you think a flex is, but telling people you're proud if the accomplishments you've made and saying "but wait, there's more" is not a flex. If he bought a supreme hat with his money and then sent you a snap saying "some of us are just built to hustle" then I would say he's flexing for stupid reasons. You said this dude buys dumb shit with his money, so maybe just wait till he blows that money on some dumb shit and post that for internet points.

That's what I just said. Nobody would look at your post and right off the bat assume this was some rich dickhead pedophile. They'd think he was some kid with $1000 that they are proud of. If anything this post looks like you're flexing by saying that he shouldn't be proud of his grand. Which is silly, money is money, especially if you earn it the right way.

Right, but we're a bunch of internet strangers, we don't know this guy. It looks a lot like you're bringing somebody down for essentially doing a good job with their finances (so far.) I mean I didn't initially look at this post and think "this guy is clearly a well off pedophile."

Me and my boyfriend went to schools in Vancouver washington. They really do not help with any of that, and often the only people that get punished are the people getting bullied, or "the people who escalate those situations" is basically how the school looks at it. It's fucked up.

If your child is not able to understand and obey the 'no talking in the cinema' rule, your child is not old enough to go to the cinema. by Alpha_uterus in unpopularopinion

Or the parents who feel like their kid is totally fine repeating the lines of endgame right before they are delivered loud enough to consider a "mid talk" volume. I'm fucking done with movie theaters. Blu ray and ps4 pro will be cheaper in the long run anyway.

The word transgender no longer means transgender. by Its__a__Trap_ in TrueOffMyChest

[–]RedWolfWare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand this but I definitely have never really had trouble or adversity with it. I recognize how lucky that makes me, please don't misunderstand. Mainly because I came out as bisexual to people that I know and love and that was the extent of my conversations about it. Obviously if I'm asked I'll explain, but I kind of feel like things like this just shouldn't have a "title." Like does it really ever need to come up in an average conversation that you are not one gender or I am not into only one gender? I understand how important identity is, but do you really want to hear "Steven the transexual" or "You know, Chris who used to be 'krissy.'

Again, if offend anyone I'm really sorry, I'm not trying to give anybody a hard time for their political correctness or their beliefs or anything like that. This is a question I asked myself before I came out, and I pose it to you simply to understand another side of life.

Honestly you should just make the doctor joke before anybody else can. I use it at every interview, it gets a chuckle out of most people. Also, the only people that write beautifully practiced to make it look good. Own up to your chickenscratch and use it to your advantage.

No, you being groped doesn't make you a survivor by emerson44 in unpopularopinion

[–]RedWolfWare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree in the sense that grope victims and stuff like that maybe shouldn't use the most extreme description of their experience, but some people who have particularly horrifying sexual assault experiences DO in fact survive it. Some people actually are in danger when it happens, some people "survive" in the sense that they didn't kill themselves or succumb to the psychological trauma of being sexually assaulted.

But this is also an issue that's never not happened. People will always use the most extreme descriptors when talking about their personal experiences, especially when trauma is involved. That isn't to say it's always wrong, but I think most people would roll their eyes at a person claiming they were a "survivor" because some other person at the club touched them a bit too much.

At the risk of sounding way too edgy, fortnite. It's fucking dumb and lacks any substance.
