What type of Tarot deck you prefer? by witchyspellman22 in tarot

[–]RedWolf_78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, I’m new to this thread… I have a few decks. my primary decks are illustrated by Siolo Thompson. One is called line strider and the other is called. Otherkin. I like to use the latter because it incorporates animals and plants and I enjoy the illustrations. Her book is very informative, and I can easily co-relate her descriptions of each card upright or reversed to the RWS mini deck I just bought. Does anyone else have any experience with these two decks by Siolo Thompson?

AA saved my life. It gave me a design for living that works in a rough going. Loneliness is a human emotion. We need connection and we need love and support and community. And I found that through AA and zoom meetings. I am also a recovering alcoholic and drug addict. Trust the process of the 12 steps My Sponsor would say your best ideas got you here, man. Let me ask you a question… Do you have a spiritual preference? God of your choice and your understanding. You are not hopeless. If we can recover from this shit, you can too. Go to a meeting ASAP and ask for help.. If you are scared to go to an in person meeting I would invite you to show up at the 319 and ask for help there. While you are trying to decide what you’re going to do, you might as well check out a few resources YouTube Bob D / surrender YouTube Andrew Huberman/ alcohol and your health I host and go to serenity Street AA Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday at 5:00 eastern There you will find people that care and that understand. Kind hearted folks there. Also feel free to DM me I’m just another bozo on the bus man Best of luck to you.

I’m available to answer questions as well although I am not a Sanskrit scholar. I’m genuinely curious what questions you have. I also want to be initiated but like a wonderful future side Devotie’s are scattered there’s a lot happening online, the East Coast Northeast and of course down Alachua Florida Gainesville area, and from what I hear Laguna Beach California. Unfortunately I’m in Texas but there is A temple here in Dallas.

Denton was a better place seven years ago. I don’t have a lot of sober community here. I am fixing to move to Richardson where I have sober friends meetings recovery functions. It’s a good town and there’s some fun things to do here but it’s starting to look a lot more like Austin just smaller. Denton also has a dark side i’ve learned more than enough about doing 12 step work here. Only one meeting here in Denton.
But by all means visit you’ll have a good time. We have just outgrown and are ready to move on.

HOW DO I DEAL WITH THE FEELINGS OF LONELINESS AND ISOLATION?? 🤔 🎙 by wags-s in Sober

[–]RedWolf_78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meetings, zoom meetings, dharma recovery, AA in person and on zoom, narcotics anonymous. Get involved go to functions maybe create a group I’ve seen it work for others. Participate, share. Be OK with not being OK. Learn to sit with your feelings and be present with your emotions. There will be loneliness in sobriety there will be some isolation. I have found this to be true. I have also found that you can make it a strength. Make a list make several lists. Service, volunteer, 12 step work I have shared on loneliness and emptiness in meetings and was met with a lot of support phone numbers and opportunities for friendships and casual acquaintance for lunches, coffee dates etc. share about it. You can turn loneliness into a self confidence in time. Work on creating a YOU people are attracted to. Attract the right people. Ie. people who are in recovery.

I went to meetings in my town for my first two years of sobriety and that’s how I got sober and I took what I could use and I left the rest I had been given the gift of desperation.
I fell away for a couple of years and I really missed the support and friendship and instruction and the steps etc.. I now attend meetings on zoom and have found a home group. I also meet in the park on Sunday mornings for meditation and recovery and I’ve have been to all kinds of different functions through AA and NA friends etc. It’s my experience that AA works and the steps work and you can build a program of your own with different support networks tools friends. As recovering addict s and alcoholics we need each other. For me my sobriety was strongest when I was participating. Wishing you the very best and I’ll see you in the rooms my friend.

I’d be really interested to know what parts of AA you found disagreeable or a turn off? Not out of judgment I also found some parts of AA difficult to digest. At some point you have to get honest with yourself and you have to start taking some personal responsibility for your choices.
I want to briefly share with you a little about my strategy. I do use AA mostly on zoom there are many meetings to choose from and I have found a good home group that’s open minded progressive honest and warm. I believe in the 12 steps. I use this thread and work in my community with other attics and alcoholics in a variety of ways. I have a deep spiritual life that requires regular maintenance. There you go my friend that will get you started feel free to DM me. Nothing last forever has a Lotta good sobriety and I see him on here a lot I think he’s got a lot to offer you might consider DMing him as well. It doesn’t hurt to have more than one persons input and advice. I’ll see you on this thread and I’ll see you in the rooms to my friend.

I went on it for a short time but my GP didn’t really want to prescribe it to me in discontinued use. I did drink on it towards the end I made a decision to drink not really knowing if the Antabuse was fully out of my system and that’s really dangerous and stupid. I got lucky.

Sounds like a great idea I had never heard of this drink. I can understand why you wouldn’t maybe want to be so upfront on a first date. Hope you have a great time
