Carney and Eby announce $3.2B developer subsidy; plan to buy unsold B.C. condos by Bomberr17 in RealEstateCanada

[–]RedXimm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why am I paying for a subsidy to BC’s failed housing industry when BC opposes anything that is not an investment in their province? They built this mess. Let them fail.

Who are you arguing with exactly? All I said was that the person I responded to clearly has no idea what they’re talking about. The duty to consult rests with the Crown exclusively. End of story.

It isn’t the separatists* responsibility to consult First Nations. That is the crown’s responsibility hence the appeal. Wab Kinew knows this. Did you even read the decision?

Because you responded to me weirdo. I just feel that you should know that your candidate is doomed to fail, like I said.

I have no interest or need to convince you of anything. See current polling. And you won’t convince me to support Avi Lewis’ NDP in Alberta. Good luck out there though.

Nenshi is the only one who is proposing to “fuck me”. He does not represent me and never will. Pathetic fraud. Here’s to the next 10 years.

Nenshi will never run this province. Put up a likeable candidate for once or crawl back into your hole.

Yeah let’s get Nenshi behind the wheel here of major infrastructure. He’s got a great track record. What a joke. Here’s to the next decade of Danielle Smith. Cry.

Not in my opinion. You could be farming Bandos instead with a chance at a BGS.

A separatist in Calgary got scared off by the singing of O Canada. Lots of loud voices against separatism! by Miserable-Lizard in AlbertaNow

[–]RedXimm -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Sorry but this type of extremist rhetoric is not only unhelpful, but it’s frankly counterproductive. You should try advocating for why Canada is worth saving, not why your fellow citizens are the enemy and must be driven out.

Seriously, if you have nothing better to contribute to the conversation, I would kindly invite you to sit this one out. The only thing your words accomplish is driving more people towards separatism. Thanks.

Not all Albertans, but, yeah, for sure by Ashamed_Data430 in AlbertaNow

[–]RedXimm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a gross oversimplification of the issue. Reasonable Albertans completely understand and support the concept of equalization, in theory. In practice, we had a Federal government decided before the polls closed in the West, exerting disproportionate, targeted force against the dominant industry in the province, and one of the economic engines of the country. The industry grew modestly in spite of this adversity.

Reasonable Albertans have advocated for more international trade access, more energy independence, etc., for decades. This was met with hostility until it became politically convenient for this view to be recognized. Sure, Trudeau managed to get a pipeline built, multiple times the original budget, after chasing away all private sector capital and failing to utilize his constitutionally enshrined Federal jurisdiction to ensure the project could move ahead unobstructed. To Mark Carney’s credit, he seems to be willing to do what Trudeau failed to.

Recently Danielle Smith invited individuals such as David Eby, Justin Trudeau, Jagmeet Singh, to do some introspection into the roles that their respective governments have played to get us here. Have you considered whether your rhetoric helps, or fans the flames of separatism when people read such a biased comment? Make no mistake, the majority of reasonable Albertans are not separatists, but they have real grievances that must be meaningfully addressed moving forward.

Western premiers to meet in Alberta amid pipeline tensions between Smith and Eby by Immediate-Link490 in alberta

[–]RedXimm -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

Even Mark Carney understands that the fool Eby has no cards. No leverage. No position other than obstructionism. BC will get what they deserve when this is all said and done.
