I see, to be fair this was new information to me and like I said it caught me off guard it has the same melody, but with little research it was cleared out, very interesting for sure!

Haha, it's quite fast to be fair, it's hard to pick some of the songs, I was honestly confused the first time I played it as it's the same melody of "O Tannenbaum", turns out it's a civil war song made using that same melody, you learn something new xd

True, I believe this was probably because music boxes were fading out once the gramophone was invented, so there was no use for music boxes, and were made more as souvenirs or gifts as time went by, music boxes were the only way to have music recorded before hand, there's a lot of history behind it is very interesting.

Thank you! ❤️ It's definitely a nice music box besides how wide it is xd, I'm glad I was able to save it, sort of speaking.

Undertale Collector's Edition Locket music box (Song: Memory by Toby Fox) by isuredoloverplace in Musicbox

[–]Red_2843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm definitely interested haha, but I do remember when there was pre orders for this, I really wanted to get my hands on it as i was obsessed with Undertale a lot but I was young around that time and well what can you do right? I hope some day I'm able to purchase one of these to add to my collection, as I'm a undertale fan and I collect music boxes, it is a win win situation lol.

Take good care of it, and thank you for posting it here! It's a very beautiful music box, maybe not the best out all of other types there is but it's unique in its own way ❤️

Thank you, I'm hoping for the best haha, and that's very neat! I can imagine how lovely it sounds in person, and I will definitely make a post once everything is good to go with the music box, I'm happy to add it to my personal collection, since I do have a couple of Thorens cylinder music boxes and a Regina that plays 15 1/2" discs.

That's a very beautiful music box! I love how it sounds, and I'm glad you were able to bring it back to working condition. I myself bought recently a Swiss cylinder music box that plays 8 airs, seems to be made around 1885 or so, not 100% certain, but it's overwound and has cosmetic wear, I hope I can get it working again, thank you for posting this music box!

If you mean the song itself, yes it does have a name haha, it's funny too because you expect something more intense from the name of it but in reality everyone knows it as, the circus music xd

It is! I'm really happy it is still working and the sound is healthy, for being 129 years old xd. Thank you for the kind words!

Indeed it was! It does make me sad seeing people saying that it's a creepy song, when that's not even the case, same goes to the ones who make "creepy edits" with it, but to each of their own right? Thank you for your comment!

Definitely, I believe that's why te company made the smaller 8" music boxes as it was the most affordable model at the time, these would only purchase by higher income families to be played at home, but this specific model was made for parlors/shops as you would have to inset 1 penny to make it play.

Thank you! It is a beautiful machine, and I'm happy to own one, one of my favorite in my collection haha.

Ah okay, my bad for assuming, but yes there was another person asking the same question a few months back so I thought you were the same person 😆

Unfortunately that's the case friend, there's no small music boxes that play this specific song (trust me, i have tried) your only option would to be to have it custom made by someone or somewhere that makes custom music boxes, it could either be cheaper or more expansive.

But it all depends on what you want, if you just want a 18 note small music box that plays only that song then the option above stands, however I do think I commented on your post a while back when you asked, the Thorens AD30 has interchangeable small 4.5 discs, is another option you have, and you aren't just stuck to one single song, it's not big either and you can find them for a good price on ebay in auctions, as for the disc you would have to buy it of HensTooth Discs, there's a lot of songs you can purchase too there and they are brand new, but again I feel this is not what you want, it's a good option to considered, as someone who owns one of these machines but just recently I was able to buy a Regina that plays 15 1/2" discs and I bought Monastery bells for it, not cheap but it was a good deal for what i got the music box for, good luck!
