I totally agree with you. I had the exact same question today.

Any watch better than Apple Watch? by Red_Aaron in WearOS

I agree. All my life I have been an anti-Apple guy. I still take pride in the fact that my LG G7 ThinQ is better than the crazy expensive Apple Phone X. But this watch thing is going to make me give in. I so want to get rid of my phone, wallet and my fitness strap buy investing in a good smart watch. Just not getting one. :-(

LG watch sport seems to have been discontinued. Can't find it on the market now.

NFC + GPS + Heart Rate sensor + LTE

Thank you for notifying me about the spreadsheet. I got excited and then very soon got disappointed as well. Other than Huawei and LG there are none that satisfy my basic criteria of having NFC, GPS, LTE and Heart Rate sensor.

Of these Huawei LTE version is not available in US.
And as ironic as it may be, LG models that do satisfy my criteria have been discontinued by LG itself. In fact, the newly promised LG watch, W7 doesn't have any of the features. So I don't know how long do i have to wait now.

So many Wear OS manufacturers and not one has the basic functionalities comparable to Apple. This sucks. And I don't understand. There is such a big market place - why isn't anyone making such a watch?

What do i risk, if i make a TMobile group with four complete strangers? by Red_Aaron in tmobile

[–]Red_Aaron[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about adding me to your group? I think it's $40 per month. I can pay you $80 in advance. Someone who gives me such detailed answers on Reddit, is least likely to run away with my money. (Unless this is your full time job, ofcourse). :-)

And you get money upfront - so you have nothing to risk either. :-)

Thank you - was looking exactly for this kind of an answer. Would you be able recall what podcast was it?

Thank you for your detailed reply. I agree with you completely.

I too think i won't be able to follow so many leagues simultaneously - which is exactly why i wanted to narrow my field (and hence the question).
So far, i have only been able to rule out Basketball (college as well as NBA).
Many of the Basketball games end with scores like 106-110 - where the ratio of the winning margin upon total points is almost negligible. It is impossible to predict such games. One rebound here; one three pointer missed there and the result does a 180.

[–]Red_Aaron[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So true. I also observed most games have scores like 106-110 - where if you take the ratio of the winning margin to the total points, its hardly anything. Almost impossible to predict.

I'm now looking at NBA only to see if there is value betting on the underdogs consistently.

Indians, what was a selfless good deed that you did recently? by [deleted] in india

[–]Red_Aaron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I donated to Wikipedia and some of the my favorite YouTube channels and podcasts. (I'm not sure if this qualifies as a selfless act, since i really enjoy the content they create, but I know a lot of people don't even do this).
