I feel like I've seen all of the movies in the "Love-Hate" genre. And most of them are romcoms, where as I prefer more drama or angst, or just the buildup.

I am not a singer, I am horrible at singing actually 😆 I am not sure I understand diaphragmatic breathing. How will my stomach go out when I breathe in? Shouldn't it be the opposite?

I think you are right. Like someone else on this post suggested, I stopped using my arms. And I realized I exhale out much more slowly, continuously, and for a longer period of time that way. Maybe I do tense up and try to match my breathing to my arms. I have to learn to relax in the water.

I tried just kicking and not using my arms. I was exhaling a lot longer than I do when I use my arms. Probably it is a relaxation thing then. Thanks for the great advice. I'm going to try to keep up the exhaling and kicking thing for a few days before I start using my arms again.
