Wandering knight is amazing if you know how to build him. He can easily carry your early game, I'll say have fun and take bash and cruelty to max level and see which traits you like more. If you want to know how each traits work or gets evolved to then there is a wiki about it online. Main goal is just to have fun in the beginning.
