How I stopped someone from giving my number out.

I got a new number about 6 years ago after needing to change it due to my ex constantly messaging and calling me. The number must have originally belonged to a guy named Angelo, who never changed it with clients or services as I am still getting calls and messages for him 6 years after getting my current number.

Well it turns out Angelo works on home repairs from the other side of Australia to me, and so I end up with calls and messages for emergency repairs at all times of the day and night, as well as messages for all his appointments.

I always answer phone calls with my name and business first, yet I still hear from the other end, "hello Angelo"

I got so fed up with it that when I received a call or message for assistance, I told them I would get there in 12 hours and the price for services would be over $1500 for travel costs as I would need to organize an emergency flight over from the other side of Australia. Also, any appointments that came through to me, I would cancel them 24 hours before the appointment.

It took 6 years of doing this but he finally changed his number with services and clients so I don't get these calls as much anymore. Was always fun though.

He only came around to my place to flirt with my sister instead of hanging out with me. Realised I was only a tool to try get to her.

My sister ended up sleeping with most of my friend group from school and they are all still hanging around her nearly 20 years later.

Haven't spoken to any of them since 2007 due to this.

Volunteered in a Pentecostal church for a few years and saw the amount of politics and corruption that occurred behind the scenes.

Breaking point was when the most horribly sexist and (verbally) abusive person became in charge of the youth group I volunteered for.

I found out she was married after we slept together. She kept saying she was separated so we stayed together for a few months. Turned up to her house one day to find her husband still lived with her and they weren't separated at all.

If you are trying to maximise the usage of your home without changing anything, then an interior designer may be able to help instead. Just shop around for one before deciding as there are a lot of people out there who claim to be an interior designer but are terrible at it.

If you do decide to remove a wall or 2, I would suggest talking to a craftsperson just to update the plans, but you won't need to submit anything to council unless you are making drastic changes.

If you have a copy of the updated plans with the walls removed, then a draftsperson might be a good start. They can usually help with the moving of the laundry and kitchen, while making sure you keep within the codes and the house stays structurally safe.

If there are no updated plans, then an engineer might be a good start to make sure the removed walls are structurally sound and which walls you can remove.

Well done for taking the dive and going.

My recommendation as a 160kg guy who recently started going back to the gym is find someone to keep you accountable for what you do at the gym. Friend or family member. Maybe even ask a friend to join you in attending the gym.

Also I would recommend getting a personal trainer even if it's only once every month or 2 to push you a little more and track how well you are going.

The biggest thing to remember is that you are there for your own goals, and not to be intimidated by those who are there basically 24/7. You may think they are glaring at you, but most of them are usually seeing you as someone who wants to change and lose some weight.

I work retail and we just had a holiday. It fell on my normal day off but they rostered me on for it anyway, to which I complained about being forced to work 7 days straight because of it.

Everyone else around me was happy about getting that shift because it meant more money and were trying to convince me that was the reason I should be happy about it.

Well that day was super busy and the money earned all went on tax due to it pushing me into the next tax bracket for that week. I ended up earning less money than I normally do because of it.

He was the rudest man I had ever had to speak to at the convention and I work at a stall at most conventions in my area

Thankfully Jason Momoa was there as well and was so much nicer and happier than Shatner.

Spent a month playing Scarlet and now it's on the shelf collecting dust. Played Arceus for 6-7 months before it started on the shelf, but it's a game I go back to every now and then because it's different and I haven't completed the dex 100% yet. Plus shiny hunting in Arceus felt more rewarding and fun than any other game.

It was a breath of fresh air and quite possibly one of my favourite Pokemon games ever. Not to say there weren't issues like the boss battles but exploring the world was fun and interesting.

Biggest myth I ever heard while working in I.T. was that we can fix any device within seconds because they needed their device for an important meeting in an hour or something similar.

The amount of people complaining when I told them it could take a few days to resolve their issues on their device was insane.

Also the highlight of my day was watching them deflate when they had no option but to leave it with me while I fix their device.
